I just want us to be even or ahead when our bullpen comes in. I won't lie, this decision makes me nervous as hell the way Indiana can hit the ball. Hopefully Fitts can keep it down. I have a feeling we will see Girodo very early in this game regardless.

The main thing we need to do is get to this Freshman of theirs and get them on the ropes early.

Virginia was a good hitting team also. Fitts will be fine

Not sure what to think about msstate7 the optimist....after so much time of msstate7 the worry wart.*

I feel like even when I was nervous or worried about MSU sports, I always knew there was at least one guy more worried than me.

This is crazy to say, but it may be better to "keep the ball up"...and use the

UCLA strategy agaisnt LSU. Throw it up and wait for fly balls. Fitts could last a little while if this were to happen.

I like Fitts in this situation. It's a big park. Make them earn it. They're going to try to hit him hard and it'll work out in our favor.

Fitts has some nasty stuff. Trust the staff and know that Chad is coming in for 4-6 innings anyway.

For some reason I'm very calm about this game. No worries. Really not sure what to make of it.

Isn't fitts a groundball pitcher? If that was strategy, pollo was probably best option. Whatever though. I've stopped second guessing Cohen for now; he's doing a hell of a job.

I'm the typical MSU fan. Worried up until the game is over. Who am I kidding? I am worried for a good half hour after the game is over hoping we don't find some way to lose it then.

Cohen and butch have pushed all the right buttons so far this postseason as far as pitching goes.

I really like the idea but have we pitched anybody up this year? I'd hate to let this thing get away from us trying to do something we rarely, if ever do. UCLA has pitched guys up all year.

FWIW

Virginia averaged 8 runs per game, and as Jim just said
Indy averages 7 per game.


Another tough game, but I ain't scared.
