Little known Jessie’s info. They have a “ Magnolia Hour” menu M-Th from 4:30- 5:30. They don’t advertise it and won’t even give you the menu unless you ask for it. It’s smaller plates like 4oz steaks including a Terres Major, a Wagyu steak and a couple of others, a half portion shrimp and grits, and a half portion redfish. It has a couple of drink specials and $3 domestic beers. Everything is under $20. I’m not big on eating that early but we go about once a week, I just skip lunch that day. We will have to schedule a meetup there sometime, maybe to celebrate our Birmingham Bowl announcement.I had heard that. I’ll introduce myself next time I’m there

Where are you because a lot of long time residents said they could not believe how strong the wind was being on the west side. They are attributing that to the sting jet. 115-120 mph winds from Santa Rosa Sound to Milton. I think the saturated smoke rains from last week caused a lot of trees to be down. Mature trees that survived Ivan.Power still out, but as a good EE from State, I've got a natural gas full house generator. We were near center. Strange storm as all the wind was from east and then north, the opposite from all the ones in the past. Overall, very mild for a 3 compared to amount of damage from Ivan. Probably 1/5 as much. Storm surge was 3 ft, not the 6 to 9 they told everyone it could be. (Hopefully, they got the views they need to save the channel.)
