Billinglsley may want to think about trying to find the strike zone soon
He's about to disappear himself for the season if he doesn't start to figure some **** out.

Three strikeouts…24, Jack Bauer.
Batter and pitcher , are on a clock, I do think the ump went a bit quick, on the second one.Someone explain the back to back violations right there that walked in the run. I don’t understand.
The damn batter was staring at the catcher not looking up on purpose. It was weird and chicken ****.Batter and pitcher , are on a clock, I do think the ump went a bit quick, on the second one.
Sure was.The damn batter was staring at the catcher not looking up on purpose. It was weird and chicken ****.
That’s a good midweek win over a decent team. Couple of pitchers need to figure some things out. But not bad overall.
Batter is in the batters box, and the ump has not put up his hand to stop play....throw the ball. The damn batter was staring at the catcher not looking up on purpose. It was weird and chicken ****.
Yep. I think we learned that Billingsley may not need to pitch much. And that Baur has some adjusting to do but the potential is there. Good to learn these things in a midweek game with a 10-run lead.Just get the win and get as many guys innings as you can this time of year. Hopefully our offense will stay around now and let us give some guys time to work out of jams they get themselves into.
I really like Webb and Gleason so far.
Two brothers that pronounce their last name differently but both pronounce it differently than their parents. This is going to be fun to watch as a fan base that couldn't figure out "Mullen" or "Rogers"
I think they said the mom uses "Vuh lynch us"Preseason, I was wondering how to pronounce that name.
So I'm listening to the DH Saturday and Caleb Hamill, who strikes me as a pretty prepared guy, is pronouncing Tomas Valincius as "Vuh Link Us". So I figure that's proper.
Then I'm listening last night and Neil, who strikes me as a pretty prepared guy, pronounces Vytas Valincius as "Vuh Lynn See Us".
Color me confused.
Then Neil explains the whole thing and how they have three different pronunciations within the family as the mother uses the traditional Lithuanian pronunciation (didn't get that one to share).
Anyway, these kinds of things interest me as I get more senile.
I think I'd stand as far away from the plate as I could and still be in the batters box and just leave the bat on my shoulder. He'll either strike me out or walk me, but he's slightly less likely to hit me this way. And it's not likely I would accomplish much by swinging the bat anyway.I don't care if anyone thinks Bauer is ready. Get him ready by pitching him. That stuff is going to concern hitters. It is unhitable. Not another pitcher I have seen on our staff so far that I would be worried about.
That slider is pure filth. Like a frisbee.I don't care if anyone thinks Bauer is ready. Get him ready by pitching him. That stuff is going to concern hitters. It is unhitable. Not another pitcher I have seen on our staff so far that I would be worried about.
It think it was Bart/Charlie on the podcast that pointed out Billingsley was money in his first outing until someone reached base. Last night there were already two on when we put him in. Fully aware that's a big limitation, but if I was the staff, next time I'd let him start an inning and see if that's the trick. Maybe he can evolve into a 1-inning guy.Yep. When I saw it on replay I thought that can't be realThat slider is pure filth. Like a frisbee.
