I can tell you this much, the man is a liar. A few years ago, my boys high school, Fayette Academy in Somerville,l TN, lost our football coach and the school went after Freeze to coach the football and yes, girls basketball teams. He interviewed and came in before the school board and accepted the job. The man never showed up for work. The bad thing for the school was losing other quality candidates because the job was given to Freeze.I'll never have any respect for theman not keeping his word. He'll fit right in at Mississippi.

went back after accepting the job and burned a live cow on the football field, sprayed the basketball court with goat blood, then ran around campus with his dong hanging out yelling "I am Batman, muthafuckas!" before calmly leaving and never returning**

This will keep them where they are for that much longer. Would love to see them waffle and flail for 5 more years.

I can only hope that Freeze is the Croom of OM. I would really love to see them suffer the wrath of "doing it the right way."

He's just like Ogeron minus the shirt ripping, and recruiting ability. Let's just hope he stays longer than 3 years.

This class is presently ranked #59 , which happens to be one spot better than Croom's first class, which was #60 in 2004. They are in for a long, miserable time.

go over to scout and have a look at Sly's recruiting classes. And then say a prayer of thanks for Greg Byrne and Dan Mullen.

The Tinkle had to go first. Unfortunately for us, they've already dealt with their Tinkle. Will they hire their Byrne?

Not if the reports of their leading candidate being Jones are true. Same **** different puppet.

I'm not a ***, so I don't post stuff like that. And, they're not our real rival any way. So never mind.

Can' remember what it was about. Maybe just something about Oher being suspicious of Freeze because he was trying to use Oher to get a collegiate job?

Or was that a different coach?

Edited to get correct book. Blind side, not Meat Market.

While I hope that to be the case with um's current class, just having Ward makes it leaps and bounds better than Croom's. It still sucks, but I would compare it more to Croom's 2nd class. I can't believe his first one was ranked anywhere in the top 100. It makes me sick just looking at it.

From every indication I've gotten, he's an extremely ambitious sumbitch. He is indeed extremely religious, but he's also all about the business and will do what it takes to win. If that makes him a hypocrite and a piece of ****, so be it. I don't really care.

I couldn't care less if our coach is a good guy or any of that crap. If he can sign good players, make us competitive with winning seasons, and keep our asses out of probation, then he can spend his summers throwing dollar bills at strippers in Vaiden for all I care. He's not going to get a better job than us any time soon without winning and turning this program around, and if that happens, I can certainly live with it.

I have no idea if he'll be able to coach up the players we have now, if he'll be able to recruit worth a **** in Year 2, or any of that. But I do know that don't give a **** what kind of a person he is. Croom is a great person, and you fired his *** because he lost. At the end of the day, that's all that matters.

Being extremely religious and a hypocrite sometimes go hand in hand.

See the national republican establishment for further confirmation.

Croom is a great person...
I don't have any reason to think he was a bad person, but what exactly did he do to make people think he was more upstanding than the average coach. I heard lots of stuff about Jackie doing things off the field, but never heard anything about Crooms (not that i would have). Most coaches aren't out sacrificing goats in the town square, and most coaches aren't saints. And Crooms' willingness to throw his players under the bus makes me think he wasn't a particularly great person, just usual.
