doesn't call them out for their tacit (if not explicit) support of terrorism. He sucks up a dictator who oversees a country with no human rights and is ruled by sharia law. then he goes to NATO and berates our allies-countries who have fought side by side against oppressive dictators and terrorists. What is wrong with this idiot?

How Saudi Arabia played Donald Trump

Trump’s journey to the Middle East illustrated yet again how the country central to the spread of this terrorism, Saudi Arabia, has managed to evade and deflect any responsibility for it. In fact, Trump has given Saudi Arabia a free pass and a free hand in the region.

The facts are well-known. For five decades, Saudi Arabia has spread its narrow, puritanical and intolerant version of Islam — originally practiced almost nowhere else — across the Muslim world. Osama bin Laden was Saudi, as were 15 of the 19 9/11 terrorists.

It is utterly amazing to me how stupid libs are. They know nothing about the Middle East, nothing. Iran and the Saudi's are mortal enemies. Neither are example of countries I would want as a partner or to visit. However, since Russia has reemerged in Middle East thanks to Obama, the U.S. has to reassert itself in this strategic part of the world.

Iran is Shia and Obama shifted American policy away from the Sunni's and Saudi Arabia and toward Iran. He gave them billions and they are using it to build missiles and foment terror (they are the largest supporters of terror on the planet). The Saudi's were livid as were the Israelis as well as all other Sunni led nations.

Iran wants to reestablish the Persian Empire. They essentially have Syria and are close to taking over Iraq. Russia is pulling Iran's strings. Iran will get their nuke and the balance of power in the Middle East will shift dramatically. We can't let that happen. We can't let Russia and. by extension Iran call the shots.

So Trump rebalances the relationship with the Saudi's. This pleases the Sunnis in Egypt, Jordan the other gulf states and of course Israel.

Again, we can't let Iran get a nuke. We can't let Iran and Russia dominate the Middle East. Partnering, as distasteful as it might be with the Saudi's makes enormous strategic sense for all the reasons described above and balances the power in the Middle East.

Some will say, but the 9/11 hijackers were mostly Saudi, which is true. But we are talking about a strategic relationship with the government. More importantly, Trump's message of destroying ISIS in front of all those Arab nations was crucial. Saudi Arabia is slowly making progress on human rights. Next, they must get rid of the radical madrassa's. But they are still much better than the terror supporters of Iran.
