While the Rosso Corsa (Racing Red) Ferrari was sold to a new owner in 2011, the car will be auctioned along with a copy of its original title including “President Trump’s Trump Tower, New York address and his distinctive, bold signature.” According to Auctions America, “President Trump owned the car for a little over four years during which time the car accrued a little over 2,400 miles.” It currently shows fewer than 6,000 miles and is equipped with a 4.3-liter V-8 and semi-automatic F1 transmission.

Happens frequently with cars once owned by a celebrity. Natalie Wood's 1957 Mercedes 300 SL sold for a premium a few years ago. She hadn't actually owned the car for decades. Celebrity provenance almost always brings the extra bucks. If you keep the documentation, depending on who owned it, it will always bring more.

Depends on the desire of the individual and the financial ability. I would not hesitate to pay a reasonable price that is above book value if it is something I wanted. Because a celebrity owned it previously, that would have zero impact. If the celebrity added value , that would impact the bid prices. If others are bidding at the higher price, would have to assume they see value also.
