I agree with you. He will always be a skinny guy. Just looking at his build, he will never be "thick", but if Balis is able to add some muscle, we could, I express could be looking at a version of a left handed Vince Young. Yes I said Vince Young. This kid is only a 3 star, but that is mostly due to how raw he is. He currently has awful footwork and probably poor accuracy due to that. However, after seeing what Mullen did with Relf, with a redshirt year and 2 year backing up, this kid could absolutely be special. His ceiling is outrageous.
I am excited that we have finally landed a QB that could offer Bama and LSU problems. At 6'6" he will simply be able to see over their defense to find open receivers. And with his 4.6 speed and agility, he is faster and just as agile as Chris Relf. I have long said that in order for MSU to win, we must have a QB that broke down defenses from an athletic stand point. Guys like Newton, Manziel, Pat White, and Michael Vick were all able to accomplish. I am not saying that Staley will be one of those guys, but his athleticism is special, and there is a chance that with the right development and makeup, he could be this type of guy.
