The thought process is money vs home field overwhelming advantage

He has his point we haven't played Iowa at home in baseball the last 3 years.

Played Maryland and Rutgers (2) in football before playing original member Indiana etc. etc.

Jake Meyers is a stud for us.. Too bad the conference tournament isn't in Omaha this year.
Agree. Unfortunately the Big East already had TD Ameritrade Park reserved for this season.

We'll have it the next 5 years. I really hope we don't end up with fan burnout. Either Nebraska or Iowa needs to make it to the weekend games to make sure there are decent crowds.

Now a real advantage would be shuffling the game times so that the local team always plays in prime time on Day 1 (would be either 5pm or 9pm on Wednesday). The Big 8 used to do that when it was in Stillwater. There was an article in either the OWH or LJS last spring that talked about when Erstad played his last college game in that tournament. Big Ten won't let that happen. Well, maybe if it was in Columbus. (half joking)

Outside of Nebraska, Big Ten baseball only has a couple of schools that sniff the top 50 in attendance. If fans aren't going to games at home the odds of them traveling to watch are low.

True, but that depends on what you mean by decent crowds. A Maryland-Rutgers game on the weekend won't draw many people by Omaha standards, but it might still draw better than it would anywhere else.
