If Wikipedia can be trusted:

A special case involves the eligibility of a player who loses the majority of a season to injury. Popularly known as a medical redshirt, a hardship waiver may be granted an athlete who appears in fewer than 30% of his or her team's competitions (with none coming after the midway point of the season), then suffers a season-ending injury. A player who is granted such a waiver is treated for the purposes of his or her eligibility as though he or she had not competed in that season.

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medical_redshirt

So if the number is 30%, cj has exceeded it (4/12 = 33%). If Wikipedia is correct...

Yep. 4 games and none in the 2nd half of the season. So he should be good for a medical redshirt.

You're pretty pathetic that a 20year old that will never have a real impact on your life gets injured and it makes you feel better. You got some demons.

Technically it's 3.6 games

But I guess they didn't feel like figuring out if players were injured by 8 minutes left in the third (or whatever that actually is) so they just round up and give them the 4th game.

define "real impact".... because it was a pretty ****** day when he disrespected my school and was a total sellout....also a pretty ****** day when he assisted the bears in beating state last november.

i think he is getting the backlash of some ****** karma that he perpetuated. if that makes me a terrible person, so be it. i guess we should have assaulted him on his visits to starkville. go cry your crocodile tears somewhere else because he wont get any sympathy from me. 17 em.

He "disrespected" your school so you wish him serious injury? You're so gangsta

and you having a bad day because someone decided to go to a school you didn't want him to is "having a real impact" on your life?

Wow. I'd also like to hear more of your teachings on karma and buddhism.

That's even sadder...because a kid did what he wanted (for whatever reason) and not what you wanted you're glad he's hurt? I do believe in what goes around comes around, and I think you're the one who's going to need some help with that. Or maybe since you're saying things like this it already is. You're a joke.

I'm not understanding how the 4th game counts as as being ok, 3 is ok ... the key is "has not participated in more than ... 30 percent of ... completed contests" He competed in more than 30% of contests. WVU currently has a player also saying 4 is ok since 3.6 is the math and they round up BUT I think they are misinterpreting the rule as it is written. If they mean 4 games they should say something like "may participate up to and including the number of games that goes one past 30%". Since it is written as a negative their interpretation seems incorrect.

14.2.4(c) - In team sports, the injury or illness occurs when the student-athlete has not participated in more than three contests or dates of competition (whichever is applicable to that sport) or 30 percent (whichever number is
greater) of the institution’s scheduled or completed contests or dates of competition in his or her sport. Only
scheduled or completed competition against outside participants during the playing season that concludes
with the NCAA championship, or, if so designated, during the official NCAA championship playing season
in that sport (e.g., spring baseball, fall soccer), shall be countable under this limitation in calculating both the
number of contests or dates of competition in which the student-athlete has participated and the number of
scheduled or completed contests or dates of competition during that season in the sport.

If a kid in high school deciding to go to college at a school besides MSU causes your day to be ******, then you need to re-evaluate your priorities and interests.

Also, if a kid being part of a team that beat MSU causes you to be happy when he gets injured, those priorities need a total overhaul and not just a re-evaluation.

You think him getting injured is karma for not choosing MSU or getting cheap furniture? Wow.

I've been hoping he would break his leg ever since that needy mother ****** stepped foot on the UM campus. That makes me pathetic?

The only thing I'm sorry about is that it didn't happen earlier.

That sorry piece of **** deserves everything that's coming to him.

Your observation seems correct according to the letter of the law. But it seems like there's always a handful of people at the end of the year waiting for a waiver.

Or maybe it's just the bears putting a spin on their loss on investment.

I agree with you here but you also made jokes about manziel getting injured while he was hobbling off the field on Twitter like 6 days ago

I'm like 99.9999999999% sure you don't follow me on twitter. And I haven't tweeted in months. If you're referring to the nafoom twitter handle I have nothing to do with that. I don't even know who it is, I think it's a former poster.

what caused my day to be ****** was the realization that my rival assaults a committed recruit and that assault resulted in a flip. the ultimate realization is that my school is incompetent. a fact that most should consider at least moderately disturbing....

the answer is clear guys.....we need to start physically assaulting more bear commits that have official visits to strakville. if yall dont see the clear writing on the wall in that regard, we are far more trouble than many want to admit. assault guys.....thats where recruiting begins and ends.
