Second best OL in the State . . . . . .

and a hard to find center to boot. Wonder what took 'em so long? Full or grey shirt?

To bad they didn't have spot for him last week, or last month, or the month before. The sad thing is they are using him as a pawn, so they can say they flipped someone from Mullen and win the press conference. Can't blame Sean for wanting to got to TSUN, he grew up a bear. I hope he doesnt' end up with a gray shirt in year 2 or 3 so Reverend Freeze can make sure he has a spot for an incoming 4 star freshman (ie.) Andrew Ritter 2012.

FWIW, his twitter

For me, if OM gets him, it's bittersweet. It's a position of need but at the same time if we really thought he was that good, wouldn't OM had offered a long time ago. As most point out on here, someone has fallen through. Also, the party line is that 6 OL graduate this year and OM decided to take more OL than originally projected to take.

Huh?

Ritter was redshirted (in a bad move I think) so we'd have good kickers this year. Last year was supposed to be so rebuilding no one thought we'd make a bowl. He also redshirted our punter. It had zero to do with a recruit. Someone reads too much ED.

Well, that's what everyone thought at the time. After the way he performed this year, it may be that Bryson Rose just beat him out. Sadly, Ritter wasn't the worst kicker in the SEC though.

Good Lord. I just checked the SEC stats and Bell wasn't the worst kicker either. Florida had a guy who only made 4 out of 12 FGs. But Ritter and Bell were holding down 11th & 12th out of 13 listed.

Ritter was having a solid season until the last 2 games. He hit a 52 yarder against Texas. Bryson Rose was the kicker in 2010 and 2011 so of course he was the kicker in 2012. For reasons unbeknownst to mankind, Nutt didn't redshirt Ritter and had him do kick-offs exclusively his first 3 years.

Checked his stats to make sure and heading into the Mizzou game, he was 14/16 with a long of 52. Went 3/8 against Mizzou, you guys, and GT.
