It's walk-on WR Alex Webb. See here

What is really happening in this final paragraph?
Ole Miss did not break any NCAA rules in offering Weber a scholarship: schools are free to offer those to any player it deems worthy of one, and Weber is free to take it as long as he is academically eligible. And if offering Tunsil's younger brother was part of the recruiting pitch to Tunsil before he signed in February 2013, it was probably worth it: Tunsil started 11 games as a true freshman, gave up one sack and profiles as one of the best left tackles in college football in 2014.

I don't understand why he had to clarify that it was legal to offer the kid a scholarship. You can offer and put on scholarship whoever you want.

Never confuse ethics with legality

Some deserving athlete didn't get that scholly. With that being said I can't say it wasn't a good deal because Tunsil is damn good.

Eh, you're probably talking about filling a gap left by someone who didn't qualify, aren't you?

I think wanting to play with family is one of the more legitimate reasons to ruin your life by going to Ole Miss.

He may good enough to waste 2 schollies on. If this had been State, I would only be mad at Ole Miss for not doing the same.

They did the same thing with Channing Ward's brother. He was a non scholly walk

on and was on the squad before Channing committed. After he signed, his brother got the scholly.

As much as I love to hate Ole Miss, I'm not going to **** on them for doing this. Happens nearly everywhere. We might not do it the same way, but we manipulate too. We currently have a lineman only because we gave his twin brother a "preferred" walk-on spot. There are a few others like that, but we might be the kings of trying to sign package deals. In the case of Market.... Wow. That worked out like no one thought it would.

Ole Miss will ALWAYS lose, because their fan-base is morally, spiritually, and ethically weak. Look for a 2-10 season this year. This is what happens with the fan base is running the football program...and they're morally, ethically, and spiritually weak.

Ha ha we will pass your predicted win total by week three Hoople. Look, at least if your going to hate be realistic about it. I'm not a state fan but at least I'm realistic about you guys going to a bowl game with anywhere between 7-9 wins. Our situation is no different and your delusional if you think it is. We can revisit this conversation in week three when we've surpassed your predicted win total.

I thought the same thing. But then I asked, "Why does Schnellenberger need to clarify that the kid was free to accept the offer?" It's a truism.

Ole Miss is like women- they're both weak. No wonder Ole Miss players don't try hard. They look up in the stands, hear "WE ARE...OLE MISS!!" over and over, and realize, "If only I had gotten that scholarship to Memphis".
