MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (February 23, 2019) – The West Virginia University baseball team has added a home game against Towson on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at 2 p.m. ET, at Monongalia County Ballpark.
Admission will be free for all fans for the contest.
Due to the game’s late addition to the schedule and prior to the originally-scheduled home opener on March 8, concession stands will not be open for Tuesday’s game. Fans will be permitted to bring their own food and beverage into Monongalia County Ballpark on Tuesday.
The Mountaineers and Tigers meet for the seventh time in program history and the first since 2010. The series is tied, 3-3-1.
Tuesday’s matchup is the second February home game in program history, after WVU added a contest against Canisius last week. West Virginia beat CC, 5-4, on Feb. 19, at Monongalia County Ballpark.
West Virginia concludes a three-game series at Georgia Southern with a doubleheader today in Statesboro, Georgia. The Mountaineers won the opener, 5-1, Friday night. Towson is at Kennesaw State this weekend where weather postponed last night’s opener. The Tigers have a doubleheader scheduled today with the series finale set for tomorrow.
