Thanks for the report Free. Jameon needs to really step up for us this year. He's a shifty little SOB and he really needs to be one of our playmakers. Wells was completely wasted last year. 17 you Wilson.

At 1 point in scrimmage

Jameon had caught 5 straight passes. There were a couple running plays mixed in. He was targeted and thrown to a 6th straight time on a route over the middle. He stretched all the way out but it was off his fingertips but would have been a circus grab. Point is, TR has a lot of faith in him

Honestly, that question is a bit above my pay grade. It's mostly in drills though. He was shotgun in the scrimmage portion at the end. He wasn't falling down or stumbling so I assume his footwork was good enough but I don't know enough about QB footwork mechanics to give an educated answer

Yesterday the 1's were PJ and Kaleb. Nick really stood out too. Quay and Virges, not so much. Doesn't meen they had a bad practice, they just didn't stand out

Virges has been disappointing. He has the size, looks like he would be really good, but can't seem to put it all together. Maybe Coach Turner can light a fire under him.

My spring wool is beginning to sprout. Whitley getting back to 100% will be huge. People remember the big hits he can make but forget about the amazing INTs. He's a legit NFL safety if he can get back healthy. And if Wells can actually be used effectively this defense could be exciting to watch.

Just remember, it's practice. We talkin bout PRACTICE, main. We'll see how these guys do in real games this fall.

Anybody keeping their eyes on the OL this year? Our numbers and experience should be there, but the talent level is still in question.

They look pretty good. The starting 5 at least. 1 reason you haven't seen much from the beat writers and site guys is the view. The o line is on the opposite side of the practice field from where you can watch. The vantage point just sucks. The only look you really get is when they scrimmage and even then the QB's can't be touched so you don't ever get a true feel for pass protection

We did above average in pass protection. What killed us was their lack of controlling the line in the running game when it mattered. That's my biggest concern. We can't run the ball we become way to one dimensional and predictable.

I'm sure some of that had to do with starting a freshman at guard and juco at tackle. Those guys will have another year of strength training. We also ran an outside runner most of the time. Really hope we see more Robinson

One of Whitley's problem last year was he bit on play action all the time. Hope this gets corrected and could lead to more INTs.
