Some people think Hill is just a big beast, but at the end of the game he is the end man of the victory formation…the fastest man and best defender.
8dog, Tupelo is 14-0 after the first qtr per the CL website live updates.
It's 14-0 still. 5 minutes left in the half I think. I have it on TV, free on an antenna.
It's on free pretty much all over the state, but you are going to need an antenna to pick it up. It's on secondary channels of the big stations that aren't streamed or carried on satellite or cable. It's worth the 50 bucks or so to get the indoor antenna you need. Just make sure it's vhf and uhf.
Those antennas come in handy when a local
Station has a spat with the carriers. I've used mine a good bit over the years.
The closest to you are in Clarksdale and Oxford. You might need an outdoor antenna on a pole. I'm just barely in range of WCBI's My MS out of Columbus with my indoor, but it works. I agree it ought to be free. It was the best when it was on MPB TV.
The only other one played so far was Choctaw County (consolidated Ackerman-Weir since you left I believe) 34 Noxubee County 27. That was 3A.
Yeah I’m not putting up an outdoor antenna to watch a couple of football games.
It’s on something called MeTV on my cable. Had to do some searching to find it. MPB should have never quit carrying these games.
You don't get just "a couple of football games". I'm in Oktibbeha county outside Starkville and get 18 channels above and beyond the angry Baptist, the angry Catholic and angry Spanish preachers. That includes all major networks and their sub channels. But if you want to pay monthly "to watch a couple of football games"......
21-10 Tupelo 10:42 left. 4th & 1 from the Brandon 14, they faked a handoff off to Hill and the QB took it in.
WOW....let's see...Two bad calls gave Tupelo the ball down deep. Hill busted one to the one. He scored easily on the next play, but Brandon was offsides, that stopped the play in HS. Tupelo got stuffed on two plays. Then they got an illegal motion and a second sideline warning. That's 10 yards. The missed the FG. Brandon has it on the 40 4th down.
Hill busted a 3rd down right up the middle. 55 seconds left. Tupelo 28-16. Tupelo will finally win its second state championship.
But that's gone. You can get an indoor antenna for $25 bucks now. It doesn't expire. It has its uses well beyond one game. I had to get through a multi week spat between one of my locals and the provider I used during football season once. It was worth the $60 back then.
Actually antennas are coming back in vogue to a degree. It may be that you are the "gramps" here.
