We hope so! I know they will be ready! I know Tuscarora is tough, but HS is tough too! I know Tusky has a very good QB and some studs that can run the rock (including the QB). HS has a very good QB and a whole flock of studs that can run the rock. Offensively, I think HS just might have a few too many athletes for Tusky to handle! Defensively, Tusky has given up more points than HS, but seem to be very solid. HS on the other hand, their defense is fast and tenacious! Passing teams have struggled throwing the ball against us. Run defense is stout as well.
Who can score more against the defenses? HS has shown that they can wear down opposing defenses in the second half and control the 4th quarter. Can Tusky hold off the hammer that Nansemond River got in the 4th qtr?

There are a few from last year still there. A big part of this years team was on last years JV (which was the best JV team I've ever seen). Last years JV was 10-0, scored nearly 400 points and gave up only 20! One team scored 6 points, the other 14. They had 8 shutouts! Only 2 teams scored on them!! They are playing at an even higher level now and looking pretty damn good. Only thing is they are still committing too many penalties. If they take care of that, they will be ok! Nearly the entire team will be back again next year!
Yes they are... In fact, they have "out-executed" their way to a few surprise wins. Springs needs to be efficient this week and makes sure penalties are limited.
Weather forecast is getting to look pretty foul for the early game Saturday. Possible sleet / freezing rain overnight Friday which may not stop until mid afternoon Saturday. Wondering if VHSL will postpone the games to Sunday? For this area, the school systems would very likely postpone games if they were during the week.
