I have liked Spielman as a commentator. He tells it like it is; was honest about the huskers and their woes, but also felt like he was recognizing the history and tradition of Nebraska.

The famous connections of our players have is pretty cool. Spielman for his dad and uncle, if we land Keyshawn Jr, Janovichs uncle is Murtaugh, Wilbons dad is on PTI, Malik Collins dad is Phil Collins. Pretty cool.

Nick Gates dad is Bill, Cethan Carter and Jimmy Carter, AJ Bush and GW, , Jonathon Rose and Axl Rose, Harrison Jordan and Michael Jordan.

Tommy's dad is Neil (not Lance), Jamal's grandma is Lana (showing my age), and Adam's grandma is Liz.

Actually Phil Collins daughter played Collins Tuohy in the 'Blind Side'.

You are exactly right; feels like you are watching with a visiting cousin. He picks up on things; he really wondered at our poor mechanics and tackling woes while wishing us the best. GBR
