Just saw this tweet from Joe Schad:

Florida buzz today focused on Harbaugh, Petersen, Edsall, Muschamp, Sumlin, Fedora

First of all, no mention of Mullen, which is nice. I can see Harbaugh, Petersen, Muschamp and Sumlin as possibilities but where in the world do Edsall and Fedora come from? I know Edsall has UConn in a BCS bowl but it's almost by default since the Big East sucks and Fedora hasn't done much to write home about at Southern Miss. Am I missing something?

His name is Bradford, the defensive coordinator. Apparently they're BFFs. Some of the money guys tried to buy out Bradford's deal (which runs for another year past THIS year) after the NOLA bowl disaster last year, and Fedora said "if he goes, I go". Fedora's agent reached out to South Florida last year, but he will probably stay one more year. The schedule next year is **** (at Navy, at Virginia are the two hardest games) and 10-12 wins is a real possibility with what he has coming back on offense. But Bradford can't coach defense for ****, and Fedora seems bound to keep him.

over fedora right now. They can't really afford to pay him what they are as it is and he apparently flat refuses to get rid of his DC (who is obviously terrible). I can imagine how frustrating it must be to lose to CUSA teams 50-49 once a month. I'm interested to see where this relationship goes.
