Oklahoma has suspended wide receiver Jaz Reynolds indefinitely
following Twitter comments he made in wake of a shooting incident at the
University of Texas, according to the Oklahoman.

On Tuesday morning, a UT student in a dark suit and ski mask opened
fire with an assault rifle near a campus fountain before fleeing to the
sixth floor of the university library and fatally shooting himself,
police said.

Shortly after the incident was reported, Reynolds tweeted "Hey
everyone in Austin, tx.......kill yourself #evillaugh." In a later
tweet, Reynolds wrote: "Everyone in austin, tx disregard that last
tweet....y'all will mess around n do it lmao."

In a statement, Sooners coach Bob Stoops said: "Because of his
insensitive remarks on Twitter relative to Tuesday's tragedy in Austin,
we have suspended Jaz Reynolds from our team indefinitely. Our rivalry
with Texas will not come at the expense of dignity and respect. We have
great concern for what happened in Austin and I am incredibly
disappointed that someone connected with our team would react so
callously. We have taken immediate action and I hope by doing so have
illustrated how seriously we view this matter."

Reynolds was also suspended for the Air Force game due to academic issues.</p>
