Reed clayton and charles parker alerted the media just a few minutes ago saying they were leaving the Mississippi state basketball program. The elaborated it was not because of the new coach.

walk on's we had compared to theirs. I always scratched my head about that and was told by an insider that most of those guys were children of "friends of the program" and<div>they were there as a courtesy by Stan's. I frankly want the best 14 guys I can find do make practices as tough as they can be not a bunch of courtesy situations.</div>

I have thought the exact same thing. I fail to seewhere the bunch of rejects on the end of our bench have been useful in any way. No matter what Stansbury said about them helping the team prepare, I don't think having Charlie Parker stand it forJohn Jenkins helped out a whole lot.

When I was at State, there were probably 40-50 guys in the tin gym that would school the clowns on the end of our bench. A couple of decent quality walkons might have helped out this year with all of our injuries.

this board calling for Kermit Davis Jr. getting a look as the new HC and he was one of "THOSE" that sat on the end of the bench and seldom got playing time. There are, or have been in the past, some of "THOSE" on the football team as well.

Since Hood already said the workouts were the toughest he's had at MSU, I'm guessing the walkons went through the same and said "17 this, I'm not doing this for free" and bolted.
