1. Dixon has turned into 2002 Dontae Walker. He's that bad now. All he's missing is a #3 jersey. Maybe he can get that next year.

2. Rockey Felker was head coach for 55 games at MSU, had a 21-34 record, and was rightly fired. Croom has been head coach for 56 games now at MSU, has a 20-36 record, and for some reason cannot be fired. This I do not understand.

1. MSU is always more "patient" with it`s head coach when Ole Miss is doing poorly (Nutt is about to change that).

2. The fluke known as the MSU 2007 football season.

Granted, we don't know what Croom is schedule to make the rest of his contract because that info wasn't released. Only his current salary was released when the contract was done. Don't know what his buyout is either.

1. Dixon is nowhere near the flop as was/is Dontae Walker.

Walker quit on the team (Dixon hasn't); Walker got fat (Dixon has lost weight); Dixon will leave State being one of MSU's top career rushers (Walker left State only to become one of MSU's career Parchment residents).

Dixon plays hard, but, this year, is the victim of a ****** OL.

2. Croom made, and won, a bowl.

Felker did neither (as a HC).

there were 9 bowl bids available to SEC teams. That's a bad comparision.

Your point might be vaild if:

1. We could somehow change the dynamics of 1986. We can't.

2. If Felker would have won 7 regular season games at anytime during his tenure, MSU would have gone bowling. But he didn't. Croom did (has).

The Croom/Felker comparison will not get anybody willing to make it very far.

Croom already has a bowl (even adjusting for 1986 requirements) to his name, as well as more big wins than Felker.

Even in 1997, with quite a few more bowl games available, State went 7-4 and got no bowl.

I love how you make up **** and present it as fact.

Call me when Crooms is a blocked XP away from a tie game against the #2 team in the country, as Felker was in 1990. Sherrill won immediately with Felker's players, going to back to back bowl games in '91 and '92. If Crooms is gone after this year, do you think even George Halas could go to a bowl game with the crappy players we have now?

Croom however would not have gotten the job if Mike Price didn't like to look at naked titties and give UA a chance to fire his ***. LT probably never even heard of Croom until he saw him in the paper up for the UA job. There is nothing on Croom's resume that even looks like he was trying to become a head coach. He was happy just getting a paycheck to coach RBs even being lazy getting his staff together and not working fulltime on recruiting till January. That should have been an immediate red flag to everyone that he did not have what it takes to be a head coach in the SEC.
