I can't take the credit but a Tyler Russell update is going to be posted within a couple of hours. From the horses mouth.

I am pretty sure he won't go anywhere. My mom and his mom are good friends, so she is going to ask on Monday. Remember, they are mourning the loss of Tyler's grandmother who died in Nashville this week and was buried yesterday.

Starkville is just up the road. He's been anointed as the future of the program and can be the face of this new program along with the new head coach Chan Gailey (just kidding about the coach). The other offer he's received according to Scout.com is Alabama. At Alabama, he'd be locked in a quarterback competition with Star Jackson and A.J. McCarron. Auburn is a program in disarray, though they really do need a quarterback. LSU really needs a decent quarterback, but they'll have about 7 young QBs competing for a spot. If anything changes Russell's mind, it would be the idea of getting sacked every time he drops back in the pocket.
