I’m not sure how many of you have followed his journey....specifically over these past few weeks and months, or even know about him. But read this article. Go back and read past articles on him and his story.

This young man captured the hearts of so many people with his public fight against a horrible disease. As someone who has read and followed along, whether on Twitter, ESPN or other various media outlets, I was deeply saddened this morning. He was a special kid.

RIP, Tyler!

A very sad, but at the same time, amazing story of an incredible young man. I'm personally touched on so many levels. His strength in the face of such a devastating illness, and yet the unselfishness and realization of what his plight could do to help in the cause against this horrid disease. And also the ability of sports to be an inspiration for good in our lives.
And last but certainly not least, this should help remind us all that when we complain and whine about what problems life has given us, also to remember what it hasn't.
RIP Mr.Trent, and may God bless his family.

It's hard to lose courageous people like this Hopefully ESPN will honor him with the most courageous award this year unless Kaitlyn Jenner can be up for it again. OFC

Is it really necessary to beat up on another human being while discussing an individual and topic like this? Come on guys, can't we be better than this?

You're right . It should be about Tyler and what an amazing young man he was.. I do hope ESPN sees this and gives him the recognition he deserved. OFC

I was sad to see this. I don’t watch a lot of college football, but I did see the Purdue Ohio St game where they did a story on Tyler. A very strong and courageous young man that accomplished a lot in his short time on earth. Prayers to his family and loved ones.

I wasn’t beating up on another human being. I was saying what a joke espn was. I know it’s strange that a thread got off topic. That almost never happens. If I offended anyone, I apologize.
