Tyler Wilson has been cleared to play. Thoughts on how they do against Rutgers?

You would think they will rally back and put up some points. Rutgers is supposed to have a decent defense but should be no match for the Hog talent if they are hitting on all cylinders.

The Hog defense and coaching still raise some concerns though. If turnovers or whatever go against them, I could see them breaking down mentally.

My understanding was he had a collarbone break, was it on his throwing side or his off hand? If throwing, he will not be the same the rest of the season. Off-hand, they will probably be decent. I think the biggest problem is the clown of a head coach and the inability to keep the team together.

Their problem is largest on defense - they don't play it. If Rutgers can put up 28-31, I think they can win.

That was a false rumor. He suffered a severe concussion. Did not pass his concussion test on Monday, but apparently passed it today.

All the recent info said it was a "head injury." What type of injury was never specified. It was really strange because the collarbone was certainly what they were saying during and immediatly after the game.

Ok, so he's probably gonna be ok as long as he doesn't get hit. Can't believe they are putting him in so early. This is a guy with a shot at the NFL and they are going to risk scrambling his brains by tossing him back in after two weeks? Seems harsh to me....

and I'm shocked they dressed him for the Bama game. It's almost as if they were grasping at some kind of hope in all this. Living in Arkansas, I can attest to the lunacy of the fans in my area at least. They want to fire the AD and bring Petrino back, and some honestly believe its a viable option. Before the season all I heard was, "we have talent, we can still win it". Now it's "John L Smith has ruined us". Personally, I think Petrino was a slimeball who was destined to ruin that team eventually, either by leaving them high and dry, or in recruiting. Now it's starting to look like he pulled both of those things off. And the poor Hog fans get to stay delusional, blaming the crazy old fall guy instead of the coach who was more interested in parking his motorcycle in some young trim's garage.

Rutgers is 3-0 and beat a decent South Florida team in South Florida last week 23-13.

I don't think the defense is as bad as they appear. They likely were looking past ulm to Bama so they came out about as prepared as we were against Troy (would have won if Wilson had not gone down)

Last week, in a game they'd been looking forward to for over a year, they knew they now had zero chance to win. I think Wilson returning inspires the defense to play better - only question is how good will he be and will there be lingering affects from starting 1-2 and having a joke of a head coach.

Not saying it is right or I agree with it but what do you think every D-Coordinator that plays Arkansas from here on out tells their players to under no circumstances are you to pass up a shot to Wilson? I would go as far to say that some might even be OK with a 15 yard penalty on a chance to get him out of the game. They have shown that without him they are an average team at best. They have no defense so their whole team is Wilson throwing. If he's in a dark room with a headache then they are lucky to be a bowl eligible team.

Our defense only bend it did not break but Arkansas's defense was broken from the get go. I just see how they turn it around. Too many variables going against them. Namely their Head Coach coach is in deep poop and slap ape crazy. Which would make you think that he would fit right in with all the Arkansas fans.

when he went out

he was getting the hell beat out of him by ULM. I mean he was taking a shot after every throw. Maybe that means their o-line really sucks which means he will take some shots by Rutgers.

John L is a lunatic. Things are not going to get any better with him coaching. I am selling on his coaching ability as a whole.

I think the hogs thrash rutgers. When tyler is in the game they are a top ten team. They had a 21-7 lead on ulm when he went out in the 2nd qtr.

Im pretty sure if Russell was in the same situation you would have a different opinion. It's not harsh at all. Concussions are bad, but two weeks is enough time...
