According to his social media profiles being changed...

Don't know the story yet on what transpired -- but it looks like this opened a slot for Irvin-Sills or Mackenro Alexander....or "another kid" from USP.... We've obviously already got spots for Mix, Johnson, Ross, and MacKensie...maybe one more, given the greyshirt rumors on Ulric and Simpson...

If that's the case, then we're definitely upgrading. But best wishes to Holmes at USM.

2014 and especially 2015 in Hattiesburg is going to be awful interesting. Alot of kids (and a coach) will have their stinger out for Mississippi State. Good news is, we should out-talent them overall in every shape, form and capacity by then.

I am looking forward to those games. We really need to lay 2 beat downs on them to avenge for a history of them ruining our seasons. Plus we need to expand the MSU brand into South Mississippi in the worst kind of way. But it won't be easy. Hope Dylan Bradley doesn't pull a Nick Fairley on us.

I sort of thought we had room for both of the Alexanders to begin with. I wonder if this is making room for someone we were not very sure about until recently as in the last 12 hours or so.

You act like we've pulled scholarships with no facts whatsoever... What if we've told Holmes all along that if player x, y, and z want to come, you'll be welcome to gray shirt or go somewhere else. I think Dan does a good job about being up front with players. It sucks... but this is a business. Best wishes to Holmes, but if we've got bigger fish to land, then good for Dan and Co.

Depends on how firm (if firm @ all) his "commitment" to us was. If he was wishy washy like some of them and has been holding out for the hat pull tomorrow, I wouldn't think its ever too late unless they are top tier.

Two things for you sir...

(1) I just want to let you know that I think you have the best handle on SPS. It has a "Waylon Jennings" ring to it, and it obviously pays tribute to one of the greatest celebrities to ever come out of our university (the celebrity comment deserves the asterisks, though the one and only time I ever watched TRW was when the girl from MSU was a member);

(2) Are you the poster previously known as Lars Larson? Your styles are very similar.

to play early at USM or maybe USM came hard at him in retaliation for us taking Damian Williams or maybe we really are just making room but irregardless since he's apparently already switched how is it building up drama for tomorrow?

Some family issues arose and Holmes wants to remain in close proximity to his home.... MSU cooperated fully and wished him the best.... Classy Bulldogs!!
