Not a huge fan but good move in that he will be experienced with offense and only here 1 year. Would be valuable as motivator for Nicco.

Don’t know what the scholarship situation was a couple years back when he was offered walk-on. In hind sight IMO big mistake. Believe this kid dreamed of playing for WVU and what we have seen from recent year’s QB play probably would have been a big improvement

Different level of competition than playing at Shepherd. Possibly could have started but would not bet on it. Could he have succeeded with the horrible run game and O-line? He also wasn't exactly high on anyone's list.

None of those offered.

Is he worth a shot this year and worthy of a scholarship? Hard to tell. He has already said I'm staying at Shepherd unless a P5 scholarship is offered.

Personally think it's worth the shot considering he's a one year guy.

Yet another guy was something to prove. Bringing him on in my opinion is they can’t lose situation, but I would hate to see the guy lose his senior year behind another quarterback. I don’t think he gets a realistic offer until the transfer portal shakes out.

I’m hearing some rumors that we actually may be in the running for Jaxson, which is a “slight possibility”. I personally think he would rather stay on the West Coast, but Lincoln Riley he’s going to have USC owning the Pac 12 in his first year. BYU or Utah is my prediction (solid BYU if they were in Big 12 next year).

Could Doege come back out of the portal….

How could anyone look Georgia's walk on QB and not think Bagent would be a good risk.

In addition to being a walk-on he was whopping two stars. Proves Desire and hard work can overcome the fact kids can be stereotyped as not deserving anything but walk-in opportunities. He is listed as 5’11”. Which sometimes means a stretch one way or another.

How can anyone look at Alabama's freshmen QB Heisman winner and not feel we have the cane to produce a winner with our two freshmen and are ONLYT delaying giving them heir chance by utilizing a transfer with ONLY a single season available?

We need that schollie for other quality players. Shouldn't take chances that a kid MAY have what time takes to make that big of a jump. We already have a high quality DIII walk on that can't get on the field even for mop up plays.

He played at a much lower level of college football. Power 5 defenses are likely to be a much more difficult challenge. Would be interesting to see if he could translate to the P5 level, height probably a concern for a QB.

Ohio State played a freshman QB to big success his first year as well. If they've got it they've got it.

Bagent is 6-foot-3, 215

But I don't think he's worth a scholarship either. Would prefer Jaxson Dart. That competition likely makes Nicco a much better QB.

ESPN rated Dart, a native of Draper, Utah, as the No. 2 pocket passer and No. 19 overall prospect in the 2021 recruiting class.

But Nicco probably gets pissed off and transfers after spring if Dart comes here. But I look for Dart to go to BYU or Utah.
