I think he'll be a top 5 NBA pg by the time he's 25. He is already showing hesitation moves and angle passes like Chris Paul. On top of his sick floor game, he makes clutch shots like it's nothing. I would bet the farm he'll be an all-star. Call me a homer, say I'm wearing dark blue glasses. I am sticking to this prediction. This kid is unique.

You are beyond a dark blue shade wearing homer haha, i mean phewwww wow. I love Tyus...but do you realize the competition?

I get he's only what? 20? so even in 5 years these guys who are already superstars will still be way ahead of himand it's not like they're old.
Russ
Kyrie
Lowry
Lillard
Steph
Wall

and that's just off the top of my head and not counting the guys who are coming up behind him.

I am a huge fan of Tyus, but I don't think he'll be a top 5 point guard. With that said, he's going to be a solid pro who makes players around him better and can't help but take and make big shots.

DD -- I'm that guy next to you. I think Tyus is a pass-first PG, like Nash, like Stockton. I see other guards like KI that carry too much of the scoring burden.

Really hope that Tyus keeps up his progress through the summer into next season.

I know it's a bold prediction, but I'm seeing things in his game that I've never seen from somone his age. The guy makes everyone else better. Questions remain about his size and ability to do it over a long season, but I think he overcomes those challenges over the next 3 seasons. His vision and anticipation is already among the best in the league by my estimation. I'm sticking to my guns here.

Another question is if he'd be better off on a team that doesn't already have 2 PG's that look to be higher on the depth chart than he. He definitely is a playmaker, but he might need a better situation for himself unless the Wolves get rid of Rubio or Dunn (probably Rubio)

I think Tyus will make his mark in the NBA. Just not as a perennial all star. I am guessing his time in Minny won't be too much longer either. Considering they just drafted Dunn and have Rubio in place already. He will stick somewhere though. He can play and lead a team.

That's why i think his play this summer was so huge. He definitely knows he can play at this level and at starter level. He proved to be the best of those guys trying to prove themselves. He'll land somewhere for sure and hopefully it is the right fit- it does not appear that Minny will be that place but you never know. I would love for Denver to be right but i don't think that is realistic.

I see Dunn and Tyus playing side by side once Rubio's contract is up. Rubio is great but he can't shoot at all.

No one saw Curry becoming the best player in the world, even after a few years in the pros. Things like this happen. Tyus' body must hold up and he'll have to be in the right place, but I think he'll get his shot.

Dude that's the homer in your talking. Maybe an NBA starter in 5 years but top 5-10, no. He doesn't have the athleticism nor defensive ability to dominate like that.

I don't think he will become one of the 50 best NBA players of all time but I do think his career will be solid and make us Duke fans proud. OFC

I don't believe Tyus will be a top 5 PG, but why does he need athleticism or defensive ability? Steve Nash was far from Russell Westbrook in terms of athletic ability, and wasn't exactly known as a defensive stopper. Despite those two observations, he was a two time MVP if I'm not mistaken.

Kyle Lowry isn't much different than Tyus' projected body type. I think you guys are underestimating his physical ability. The guy is getting stronger based on what I saw. He can finish at the rim. Are you telling me Curry is like John Wall? Tyus does have a ways to go on defense, I concede that.

Curry doesn't need to be john wall when he is the best shooter in the game and has top two handles. he's a very underrated athlete and I get that is the point you're trying to make here. but curry was always known as an excellent shooter and they wondered when he came into the league if he could play the 1. he developed sick handles and that shooting ability helped in his ability to get passed guys and to the hole. Tyus doesn't have that kind of fire power (few do). I hope and think Tyus will stick around the league for a long time. he's a very good floor general. the game continues to change, i do think his size defensively will hurt him- the cavs exploited curry the entire finals series on D when the warriors tried to hide him. Tyus would get the same treatment in the playoffs- but we're getting ahead of ourselves. i think tyus has a long way to go to be a regular starter in the league right now and that starts with being at the right place. Minny has the weapons but also two guys seemingly in his way.
