Comcast repair guy pissed the wife off royally so I'm looking at switching to AT&T U-Verse. Would save me $50/mo but I don't want to miss out on Braves games via CSS. Am interested in folks' experience with U-Verse.

Without looking at specifics, wouldn't you be able to buy a sports package with u-verse; those usually only run around 10 bucks a month so it would be a win-win if that's even an option.

...at least during football season, and they're NOT blacked out....you can thank the ESPN deal for that. Don't know if the same is true for the college hoops sports pack, but probably.

Unlike cable, this is a real problem if you have a TV in the bathroom, kitchen, kids room, and/or on your back porch. I don't have it but, a good friend of mine does. You also don't have near as many channels and HD channels as you can get with Comcast, but the service is pretty good otherwise.

Starkville cable already requires it.

there's no technical reason for it, it's just a money maker.

If you have an older analog TV or without a digital Tuner built in, then in the future you would need a box with cable..

maybe 20-25 more.

In Memphis Comcast - you actually get the HD ESPN's, Discovery, etc a regular coax. Pissed me off because in Jackson you don't.
