Mr. Sr. Bronze won his first match by tech…into the quarters.
Are you watching?13-0 against Marcu of Moldova
10-0 against Abramov of Ukraine
He tweaked his knee in the second match but got back at it in less than a minute.
Semi will be against Mukaida of Japan. Mukaida just had a shootout against Georgia's Zangaladze, who Kozak picked to get bronze.
Wouldn't miss it! Jax has been really aggressive while maintaining good positionAre you watching?
What time is semi?Wouldn't miss it! Jax has been really aggressive while maintaining good position
What time is semi?
Wow. Well at least now I have an answer as to why I woke up an hour earlier than necessary Flo schedule was wrong hearing 1700 local time which is in 45 min . Jax is on Mat C
Update so apparently Serbia did daylight savings time last nightwild . You guys do it next weekend. I'm in AZ we have it all figured out we don't change times
Break it down! That was the most nervous I’ve ever been for a tech fall lol
I thought he was at 65 and beat Blaze?Asan Uulu of Kyrgyzstan also teched his semis opponent. Tomorrow's final should be a good one!
Finally got it to load. That Uulu has 4 techs to get to the final.I thought he was at 65 and beat Blaze?
Jax faces Asan while Blaze lost to Sharip who just lost in the semis so Blaze will not be pulled back in. I learned something today. At first I thought Uulu was one heck of a wrestling family in Krygyzstan because they have at least two on this team and have had many on their Sr team over the years. Turns out Uulu is a suffix that means “son of”. So Jax will face Asan son of Omurbek in the finals.I thought he was at 65 and beat Blaze?
Believe me many have thought that and it's been happening for awhileJax faces Asan while Blaze lost to Sharip who just lost in the semis so Blaze will not be pulled back in. The Japanese wrestler was very quick and the match was close until the last takedown and he got his opponent off balanced and exposed and exposed and the match is over. In this same match his slide by's are so explosive that the wrestler from Japan was flung forward and landed on the top of his head totally out of control. Jax rips those slide by's where they are violent. He is great on top with exposures and quick with his shots especially ankle picks. He should be an all-time great for the Cowboys with good fortune. That was the most nervous I’ve ever been for a tech fall lol
Its looking more and more likely, but is not 100% is the latest "reporting"Go Jax Go!!! Can’t wait until he’s a Cowboy!! Anybody else hear he might enroll at semester?? Just rumor?
Did he win?One heck of a match, thought Jax was going to get bullied but he stayed with it.
He did, we have another gold medalist. 17-14 battle.Did he win?

I don't blame youI’m gonna kick you in the shin!
Yes, his opponent was quick and powerful. With his leg strength he could drive right over Jax. But Jax adjusted, got takedowns and exposures to pull out a very tough match. Very impressive. One of the best matches I have seen. His opponent was incredibly quick but Jax was able to answer.
Jax is already one of the best in the world and he is probably weaker than most of the guys he's wrestled in his last 2 tournaments. Once he gets some man strength I think he'll be unstoppable.Yes, his opponent was quick and powerful. With his leg strength he could drive right over Jax. I hadn’t seen this posted but it’s great stuff if you haven’t come across it. Jax is super humble but the adrenaline opened up a side of him I hadn’t heard before. He truly wants to be one of the’s. Seems focused and hungry. There’s also a great 5 minute Lee Roper interview on USA wrestling’s YouTube page also. Pretty sure he’s my spirit animal

Here's Coach Roper's interview. Watch it, it's like getting a hug lol. Seems like such a stand up guy, good influence & role model, running the logistics of taking athletes around the world to compete, on top of the wrestling acumen. Coach Dad!
I hope that he instills the grit, savvy, and the never give up attitude in our younger wrestlers that the uni wrestlers showed the past few years.Roper is a genuine guy. If you are ever near him say hello and ask a few questions he loves to chop it up with wrestling people
You’re already seeing it.I hope that he instills the grit, savvy, and the never give up attitude in our younger wrestlers that the uni wrestlers showed the past few years.
