UL has very good football team. Not top 5 but still very good. And the QB is legit.
They are not even close to a top 5 team, and probably not top 10. They'll probably beat us rather soundly, but they have no path to the playoff, and they shouldn't have one.

Quick question, what would Louisville's record be with UK's schedule? What would UK's record be with Louisville's schedule?

We'd both have two losses. Us, against Florida State and Clemson; you, against Florida and Alabama. And Alabama would not just be a loss; but an embarrassing loss.

Not sure where you are about to go with this but I'll play along. Full season schedule UL wins all against UK's opponents except Florida and Bama. UT is a toss. UT has more talent but have played awful this year.

As for UK we would lose to FSU, Clemson and Houston.

Should the Tards have the misfortune to make the playoff as a four seed, they will see exactly embarrassing the loss to the Crimson Tide would be. They took it relatively easy on us. They won't do that in the playoff. It might be a comedy show on an epic scale.

What a stupid question. UL smoked an overrated FSU team, and lost to Clemson--which has caused your fans a complex only rivaled by the one between our basketball teams. UL's schedule is trash outside of that. I would argue UL would lose in Gainesville, and Tuscaloosa. And then I'd argue that the rest of our schedule has been just as bad, or tougher.

After last week Sagarin had UofL strength of schedule as 42nd and U.K. As 58th. I admit UofL would lose to Bama but not so willing to say so on Florida. I would say it depends on which UF team showed up. But the same could be said for UofL also. I believe we could get UT and I actually think U.K. Might get UT this year.

Lose in Gainesville to Florida or to Florida anywhere....ok...heard this before the last time we played the Gators...geez. BTW, FSU a team you just called overrated has the lead currently over Clemson.

Kratz. No and doesn't east meet west for SEC Title game?
Yes, east meets west. Thats why Saban has nothing to do with UK reaching the the title game. YOu win the east, you're in the title game regardless of what Saban or Bama does.

Don't want the wager? Just blowing smoke on the prediction of a 21 pt UK win? I'll be a nice guy and give you half those points back. UK by 10.5. How confident are you?

And Ohio State barely beat Northwestern at Home today...heard this same argument in 2012...
You can say what you want. Your schedule sucks. You play WF next who just lost to Army. Frickin Army. And BC beat NC State. There are more than 10 teams who deserve a playoff birth before UL.

Never said we deserve to go to the CFP If we don't win the ACC...But handle our business we got a NYD Six Bowl Locked up.

Will be interesting to see where committee slots Louisville in initial rankings on Tuesday if FSU beats Clemson.

I'd guess something like:

1. Alabama
2. Michigan
3. Washington
4. Louisville

UK beats Louisville by 21. Their team hasn't been the same since the Clemson loss. UK offensive line will blow UofL away. Kentucky is doing superb work in the trenches. This game was a season changer, attitude changer, career changer, and fan base boost. I look for great Kentucky football in the next few years. If Saban ever leaves, Kentucky could play for the SEC title 1 out of 3 years for years to come.

While I would like that I think you could interchange Ohio St and UofL

Right now it looks like Alabama is head and shoulders above everyone else. Then Michigan and maybe Washington have a great chance at making the CFP. After that it's a big group of teams fighting it out for the final spot. I'm definitely no fan of UofL but they certainly have a chance of sneaking in if Clemson chokes. But UofL also has shown if they don't play their best even mediocre teams have a chance to beat them.

UL's screwed. A 1 loss Texas A&M gets in over them due to SOS. A 1 loss OSU or 1 loss Mich gets in over them due to SOS... Clemson can lose the title game to UNC and still get in over UL... and a 1 loss Washington gets in over them too. UL needs some teams to lose 2 games to have any shot at the play off.

Gentlemanly wager on that 21 point prediction?

Saban has nothing to do with UK playing in the SEC title game. Bama is west, you're in the east. No logic to that statement at all.
No logic? False. There is during the yrs. UK has to play Bama...ala this yr.

Don't see Lville making the playoffs without a lot of help at this point. But they're certainly one of the most dangerous teams in the country with Jackson. They're at least top 10 and maybe top 5. Don't know how that leaves them not legit. You have to give them their due when it's deserved. Really Jackson is amazing to watch , even if he is a card.
It pisses me off you're making me speak well of them OP. :chairshot:

I would say three losses. If we lost to Southern Miss, we'd lose to someone like Duke or NC State. But yeah, not too far off.

Disagree with them losing to Florida but would get beat by Alabama.

No way does a one-loss Washington go over them. I also do not see A &M running the table the rest of the way.

Alabama and Clemson will go undefeated
OSU/Michigan winner should get in (Hopefully it's Michigan)
And that leaves Louisville hoping for Washington to lose

The committee will look at the fact that UofL barely lost to Clemson and the fact that they have the Heisman winner and give UofL the nod if they win the rest of the way.

I kind of want to see them make the playoff just to see a fun game and see how they'd fare against Bama.

Alabama vs Louisville
Michigan vs Clemson

As a football fan, that's what I would pick. Washington isn't that impressive to me.

No, just no.
1. If you're a UK fan, you don't want them in the CFP. They chirp enough.

2. Two teams from the ACC will not get in.

3. Hilarious that a couple of them came over here talking about Clemson losing. Their Clemson complex is comical.

4. IF they win win out--perhaps it's time we play spoilers. We suddenly have a ball-control offense and UL and BP suddenly want LJ to become Peyton in the pocket.

Actually Jackson is the one who wants to stay in the pocket because he wants to become a better passer.

Way to lose faith

Gonna take a lot more chaos for an 11-1 non-division winner to make the playoffs. If defending national champion Ohio State couldn't do it last year, that just shows you it's nearly impossible for anybody - even an 11-1 SEC team.

Some people like to point to Alabama beating LSU in the BCS national championship game a few years ago, but that was under the old system. The CFP committee was created to prevent unpopular (at least outside of the SEC) matchups like that one from happening.

I would have to agree with that. The thing UL has going for them is they only had 2 really difficult games. They beat FSU and nearly did so against Clemson. Their schedule is pretty much cup cake city from here on. The bad thing for UL is that even though wins and losses will put them in the hunt, they clearly are not one of the top 5 teams in the country. Despite the fact that you are at the moment forced to rank them top 10, I'm not convinced they are that either.

BC is 4-4. Wake Forest is 5-3. Houston is 7-2. UK is 5-3.

I'd like to return these cupcakes. They are not as soft, moist, and delicious as I was led to believe.

Just an observation, but if you've lost 6 straight to a team, maybe you should hold off on bad mouthing them until you play this years game. Just sayin.....................

Nah, they're going to be in the hunt as long as they keep winning. Unimpressive win today, but they are still a very electric team.

Louisville is smoke and mirrors, this year.

I hope Petrino leaves in a few.

Anyone that thinks we shouldn't have taken Petrino when we had the chance WILL be singing a different tune if he stays there. They are already building a bigger fan base, even here in Tennessee. He will eventually have an easy schedule and walk to a title game, compliments of our own Barney Mitchboy.

Don't believe me? Let's hope.
