This ballpark is perfect for the way UCLA plays, and a big reason why they're undefeated in Omaha. They don't have any power, and the hits they do get are little loopers over the infield or seeing eye singles. They only have 3 extra base hits all series and they are all doubles. So they string a few of those little hits together, move runners over and get a run or two. They pitch up in the zone, which leads to lots of fly balls, and in this park, a fly ball equals an out. Porter and Ammarati hammered balls that might have been homers or extra base hits in other parks but were both outs here. Meanwhile, they get their three runs on a guy who struck out but reached on a wild pitch and back to back hits, and then two unearned runs after a sac bunt attempt turned into a 2 base error.
