UCLA offers Masry Mapieu from York, (2018 DT)

The new ASU.UCLA is becoming a real pain in our a$$
I believe last year was his only year of playing football. Not sure if he has grown up in the York area or not.
I read that he moved to York at the age of 7 or somewhere in that age range. Said he is a Husker fan, but not as big a Husker fan as his little brothers are.
He played at McCool Jct, 8 man as a freshman. He came to the area as a foster child due to some issues with the law as a youngster and older siblings being in prison.
He's really found a good place now, and his family has agreed he should stay with his foster family.
My son played with him last year. Hard worker, good teammate. My boy said LSU would be his dream offer..
His family is in Lincoln, hopefully the tug of family will win out for nebraska, but it will be an uphill battle to land him.

Thank you for the information, I'm glad he's in the right home now. I hope he continues to enjoy football and has a great career at York.
If this kid commits to UCLA, and we have another mediocre season. I can already tell you the exact thread that will be posted on here.

Who do these coaches think we are? We aren't USC, We aren't UCLA and we aren't Oregon State. We play in the Big 10 now and we should let these West Coast players stay in the PAC 10
We get all these highly regarded specialty player, but where it counts most at Nebraska "The Trenches" we don't care any more. We lose our best DT prospect in years to UCLA, and we are terrible on the field where it counts the most.
Fire RILEY and coach WILLIAMS... We are a WR school now, we are no longer a hard nose state that runs it down the oppositions throat. What have we turned into, this sickens me!

Spare me the "Why are you posting it now?" responses, because I know those are coming too. It is obvious I am being sarcastic and calling negative posters out, and in no way shape or form do I feel what is posted above that line

As for Mapieu, he's a big guy. It could get interesting to see how many offers he gets considering he'll be a junior.
