Pretty much doesn't matter at this point. UCLA is a hot team now, even with the low batting average. They could easily be the Central Arkansas of the CWS, a small ball team that can be a thorn in our sides if we let them hang around.

UCLA Coach

I remember hearing in one of the games that UCLA's coach said he built this team to win in TD Ameritrade. He didn't build them for success in his own park or other parks around the Pac-12. He built them for success in Omaha. The goal was to find a way to get to Omaha and then let their abilities take over once they got there.

Great pitching and defense is a recipe to win in any park but a .250 team batting average is not a recipe to win in any park. They are winning despite some glaring weaknesses, not due to those weaknesses. They happen to be pitching extremely well, but teams with this type of statistics will very rarely make it to the CWS.
