They don't deserve him. Not one bit.I was about to post this. Pathetic showing.
The women's title game had higher ratings lol. Wouldn't happen with UKMore ESPN media hype. More ''new blood'' marketing BS. They say they're bigger than UK. But their title and title game were overshadowed by our job search. Still are. Their admin is sweating UK coming at Hurley with 11 plus million.
I hope Hurley can truly appreciate what it would be like to win a title here. No other place can compare. Goes way beyond just more money. Someone needs to send him this video:
He’s from the Northeast. There’s just a different culture there than Kentucky for sure!Hurley can coach, but he’s a very different cat
This is another silly comment. The only reason he wouldn’t leave is Kentucky isn’t in the NortheastIt seems so unlikely that he would leave for many reasons, but a few extra mil $ and a whole lotta love can go a long way…
Man seeing that again with Cal makes me sad. The man was two wins from immortality. Just a shame what might have been.
You’re right, my conjecture is much more silly than the assurance that the only thing influencing the mind of the most successful coach atm is geographical location. This is another silly comment. The only reason he wouldn’t leave is Kentucky isn’t in the Northeast
Cool. Why the low turnout IN STORRS?You all do realize they have a Championship Celebration Parade planned for SATURDAY. This was just impromptu event tonight. They announced their plans this morning for the Parade and it'll be in Hartford.
Matt Jones and the crew stirring it up---and that's great--as long as you report the entirety of the story.
Call me crazy but I think the media props that program up. Aren’t the ESPN headquarters in Connecticut?!I was at the 2014 Final Four in Houston and I didn’t see a single UCONN fan.
I swear I was told the NCAA paid some locals to dress as fans to not embarrass the product.
I know how ridiculous this sounds but maybe someone can back me up on this?
It would be when you consider there is literally NO advantage UConn has over Kentucky but location. I would also argue that the advantages Kentucky has over UConn isn’t even closeYou’re right, my conjecture is much more silly than the assurance that the only thing influencing the mind of the most successful coach atm is geographical location.
Yep…Bristol, CTCall me crazy but I think the media props that program up. Aren’t the ESPN headquarters in Connecticut?!
Yep…Bristol, CT
They have no real fans.Cool. Why the low turnout IN STORRS?
Yes. In Bristol.Call me crazy but I think the media props that program up. Aren’t the ESPN headquarters in Connecticut?!
Not sure why but the entirety of the story is that they are planning to honor/celebrate the team on Saturday. This could be impromptu--but I'm not making up when they are planning to honor their team. Are they in Spring Break still? I don't have a clue what goes on but heard an interview with Josh Pastner tonight talking about UK job being open and he repeatedly mentioned "Just can't see Hurley leaving" and added " with the celebration planned for Saturday....." and he spoke that he thinks Scott Drew will be the HC--as have most of the media and thought he'd be a great hire for UK.Cool. Why the low turnout IN STORRS?
sigh here we go with Matt Jones being the bane of the world. You all do realize they have a Championship Celebration Parade planned for SATURDAY. This was just impromptu event tonight. They announced their plans this morning for the Parade and it'll be in Hartford.
Matt Jones and the crew stirring it up---and that's great--as long as you report the entirety of the story.
Their spring break was in March. 10-16th.Not sure why but the entirety of the story is that they are planning to honor/celebrate the team on Saturday. This could be impromptu--but I'm not making up when they are planning to honor their team. Are they in Spring Break still? I don't have a clue what goes on but heard an interview with Josh Pastner tonight talking about UK job being open and he repeatedly mentioned "Just can't see Hurley leaving" and added " with the celebration planned for Saturday....." and he spoke that he thinks Scott Drew will be the HC--as have most of the media and thought he'd be a great hire for UK.
Pastner is really good on TV/Radio. He was very complimentary of the program and what Kentucky means to the CBB world and how appealing it was for most coaches but in Hurley's situation he stated it would make little to no sense. He was then asked about Drew and said timing seems to be lining up and talk at Final Four was that he'd take it if offered.
They're a coastal new england school. ESPN hates that a small redneck state is the face of CBB.Call me crazy but I think the media props that program up. Aren’t the ESPN headquarters in Connecticut?!
In Hartford, some 27 miles away. Imagine having to go to another city to get your biggest crowd.if you watch the parade video from last year’s championship the crowd was a lot bigger than this. I expect the majority of the fans will show up for the parade
