We played a great game. I don't know if I've felt this positive after a loss. Except that Robert Elliot continues to be my least favorite skill player. Great game by the defense. Look mom, no big pass plays! Torbush? Maybe he stays.
We totally got jobbed by the refs. On UF's first touchdown drive, Tebow looked AT LEAST a yard short on 4th down. Refs have him one hell of a spot for a 1st down. When he was tackled on 4th, everybody was jumping up and down - yeah we stopped them....nobody dreamed the ref could have spotted the ball for a 1st down. Then...touchdown UF. And the (batted) pick 6....should have been a touchback. 17ing ridiculous. 14 points by the refs in a 10 point game.
Realistically...I can't completely credit the refs. I know good and well UF may have stepped it up a notch when they needed to. But its just damn frustrating to have two squads out there that we have to defeat.
Regardless, 3:51 to go and we are going for a 2-point conversion to make the game a 1-score game. Loved the effort. Loved the coaching. We can and do play with anybody.
Banks - 2 pick 6's, one for 100 yards. The 2nd was a gift INT, but both runbacks were very very good. Zach wouldn't have had half the return yards that #13 did. We've got ourselves a player. But #13 is kinda small. Haven't noticed how he is at stopping the run. So maybe he's a CB next year, I dunno.
We will beat Alabama. We've played too good for too many games not to be able to come up with an upset. If we keep playing like this, and I expect we will...its going to pay off.
Something on campus was burning during the game. 2nd half I think. Lots of smoke coming from the South end and the smell of something burning that shouldn't have been burning. Zach Smith wasn't on the field. What was it? Trash can fire...dumped coals maybe?
Gene Stallings was taking caller questions on Finebam's show this week. When asked what coach he wanted to replace him when he left he said "Either Woody McCorvey or Mike Debose could have done just as good a job as I did". Think I read some UGA people want McCorvey over there too. Huh? Was this guy OK and Croom just didn't allow him to do anything?

Went to Grumpy's today. Pulled pork is better than Dooey, mainly due to the rub they use. The flavor there stands out. Dooey has good pork with a smokey flavor, but if they use any rub you can't taste it. Beans at Dooey (strands of pulled pork, beer flavor) > beans at Grumpy's (ground beef & onions). Turnip greens = push. Sauce at Dooey = thumbs up, sauce at Grumpy's = mustard based abomination to good BBQ...WTF????? Grumpy's = Tyson lee QB batted pass and failed keeper up the middle. Dammit, had the thing won and then just gave it away. Mustard-based sauce? Seriously? In Mississippi? Just damn.
