UFO Disclosure: Is the Report Due in June Going to Do It?

Supposedly there is to be a major report to Congress in June regarding UFO’s.

Here is a recent film of pyramid like objects buzzing the USS Omaha, an advanced ship launched in 2018.

My best guess: any disclosure by our government will be that “F&$k, we don’t know what the ****’s going on, but we are still in charge.”

I don't know if any of those ufo videoes were ever real, but I think it defies all common sense to think the rest of the giant vast endless universe is completely devoid of intelligent life.
You might enjoy this read. I've probably posted it before.

That to me is far more unlikely than we are the only sentient beings

But, OTOH, I never bought the idea that aliens landed here and the government covered it up. That is truly a Bigfoot urban legend.

I'm with Stephen Hawking on this one. If aliens were here we would know they are here. They wouldn't hide themselves.

I read that back when he first wrote it. Thanks for sharing it again.

I believe there is most likely life on other planets but it's nearly impossible for me to believe they are visiting earth.

When you truly understand how far they would have to come and how fast it would be like a one way suicide mission even traveling at the speed of light.

Hawking also thought if they came here, they wouldn't come to be our friends.

What would we have to offer them? Nothing. They would be so far advanced from us, something fundamental that we don't understand about physics would have to be at work that would literally rewrite it from the ground up.

If they come out and state UFO's are real in our lifetime, I'm way more inclined to think "chit, demons are real!" haha than I am "wow, extraterrestrial life!"

Travelling at the speed of light is instantaneous to the person doing it; the real problem there is that it takes infinite energy to accelerate mass to the speed of light.

If they could travel at the speed of light, hypothetically, and they were ten light years away, ten years would've passed on their home planet when they got here but they would be the same age.

The same demonic age... hahaha?

Interesting responses, given that
polling shows a majority of folks accept the alien hypothesis.

I don’t know who or what controls these things, but in the last two years the government has admitted they are real, releasing videos of objects that defy our current understanding of physics.

One or more of a number of ridiculously unlikely scenarios must be true for these things to be seen.

That is truly a Bigfoot urban legend.

There has been one or two films taken of a supposed Big Foot. And their provenance is easily questioned. There are hundreds of quality videos of the aerial phenomena; just the handful released in the last two years are enough to establish “probable cause” to believe something remarkable is going on.

They wouldn't hide themselves.

With the films released and acknowledged by the military the last two years, they’ve done a poor job of hiding. Some argue the fact we can see them is proof they are not alien: their technology would be sufficient to allow them to cloak themselves. But why not reveal themselves: we can’t bring them down.

What would we have to offer them? Nothing. They would be so far advanced from us,

We likely have nothing they need. But the curiosity we spend billions on annually for space observation/exploration might animate other species. What would a bug crawling on Mars or a mere bacteria have to offer us? Nothing much, but the day one is found, you will hear about nothing else.

I readily admit physics and astronomy aren't my strong points so I found the quote I was thinking about.

"Choose the nearest star; decide how long you're willing to travel, how fast you will need to go to get there in that time, what you will have to take with you, and how many should be in the crew. Make it a one-way suicide mission if you wish. As a final step, calculate the kinetic energy that must be imparted to the spaceship to get you there in that time (one half the mass times the velocity squared.) I suggest you stay away from the relativistic limit; it complicates the calculation and won't help you anyway. The good news is that you will then sleep secure in the knowledge that UFOs from elsewhere in the galaxy are not subjecting humans to hideous experiments." --Bob Park

Good podcast with a Pilot who had an interaction with a ufo. Dude was top notch and never even had a blip of crazy in his storied career. He had this one interaction and can't explain it. Long but really good info.

A little OT but I've been fascinated by Bigfoot since I was a child.

I'm 98% sure they aren't real but there is just enough convincing evidence to keep me interested.

UFOs are clearly real but them being driven by beings from light years away is highly unlikely.

I think it’s a little narrow minded to believe that the only life in the endless universe exists here on our tiny planet.
My greatest fear is if aliens ever do land on earth and introduce themselves, they will turn out to be a bunch of left wing whackos. 👽

Exactly. I don’t doubt there is alien life in the universe. I do doubt they flat around and follow battleships, perform anal probes, etc. If this were true, definitive evidence would’ve been found up to this point. It’s been what 75+ years since Roswell Area 51 etc?

It wouldn't have to be biological entities piloting such craft. Think AI (Artificial Intelligence) beyond anything we can currently comprehend.

Every exalted Mormon gets to be the god of his own planet at some time. Just as an exalted man named Elohim was given his own planet Earth. This is a major Mormon doctrine. Those planets have to be out there somewhere.

@Spica Orbit

That reminds me of a show I watched on the Discovery Channel several years ago.

It was like a Mockumentary about the receiving communications from space. The "aliens" were heading our direction and giving us a heads up. It turns out there were in fact AI and not biological beings. I think they sent the communications via binary code. When the code was deciphered it showed pictures of what they looked like. It was pretty cool but I have no idea what it was called. I'd like to watch it again.
