Can we take it to Perno's boys?<div>
</div><div>I feel like our younger pitchers are doing a lot better on the weekends. I don't know if that's enough to win it for us, but I have gotten a little more confident in them.</div><div>And the guys in the field have eliminated MOST of the errors.</div><div>
</div><div>I know everyone is wooly about Spring Training, but I just didn't know how you guys felt about baseball this weekend..</div>

The Florida sweep hurt. We have to take it to these subpar SEC guys when we get a chance. If we can't take 2 of 3 from a losing team at home, I'm officially worried. Not worried about Cohen per se, because I know our talent level is low and that's hard to come back from, but just worried that I have to endure more shitastic results in an MSU sport that I'm normally proud of.

At tournament time, we'll need these three wins. If we can't win adainst the lower tier teams, it will be a long frustrating season, young or not.

We learned in basketball that early season losses to weak opponents do matter.

If they come out and get swept by UGA, fan interest will plummet even more than it already has. I know several die hard MSU baseball fans that were really high on Cohen but are starting to reallywonder if he is all talk.

We need to beat these low level SEC opponents. If we don't win these easy games there is no way we'll get into the tournament strictly from a W/L point. Florida showed us what we can expect this year from quality teams.

Still, I'll be there at some pointtonight - maybe not for the first MSU error pitch, but I wil get there as soon as possible.

I just want them to win

You think the NCAAT committee thought the losses to Auburn, Alabama, and Arkansas were are non-reasons to leave us out of the dance? Ask JV and Barry about those losses and see if they'll tell you which tournament they wanted to play in...

2 out of 3 against UGA is a must this weekend.... if we don't, we put ourselves in a position to potentially have to win 7 out of 8 SEC series to get to Birmingham.

this might be the least difficult series we have in the sec, and the only one that may be any easier is Tennessee. Of course, this is probably the weekend uga will get their **** together.</p>

We can take it to Perno's boys. Not saying we will, but we can. We have better pitching than they do, and we are at home.

The thing I am going to be watching is the hitting. I was encouraged by some of the players perfromances against Memphis- I think we had 8 hits, but 5 of those were extra base hits I believe. That has been one thing that has been lacking- the lack of extra base hits. Also, Cohen made a comment about the staff putting too much pressure on the hitters, so we'll see how they hit this weekend because I suspect that Cohen did some things differently.

One thing that is encouraging to me about Cohen is that he can see the problems that we have and is willing to do something to try to fix those problems.
