Ugly defensive stats for UK

Hey, it takes more than 4 years to build a defense that is in the top 100. Just be patient!
The entire defensive staff needs to go at season's end.
I don't know how many times it has to be said but MB and CMS need to bring in top position coaches and coordinators with legit p5 resumes and pedigrees and make them the highest paid at their positions in the country.

Well its year 4..... the defense decided to go full Stoopid............
The Def Cord an dline coaches need to be let go,can you imanage what Ala an UL will do to this Def,it wont be pretty
A bright spot: Pringle looks to be considerably better than Elam.
Why would successful P5 assistants want to come to UK? We're kind of the bottom of the barrel and certainly not even a lateral move for a "top position coach." I'm not against changing out coaches, but we need to seek out guys who have been successful coaching up lesser programs and punching above their weight. Whether we're smart enough to identify those guys is debatable....Stoops certainly looks like he made a quality hire in Gran.

Told someone today that so far, this year's defense is the absolute worst I have ever seen UK field, and have been following since the early 70s. The 1994 1-10 season with Curry, and Mumme's last year, the Mike Major led 2-9 disaster, are the only two in the running. And don't forget, we are giving up 540 ypg . . . and still have to play Louisville and Alabama, both on the road. :weary:

Nowhere to go but up when you've hit rock bottom , there's nothing to be said other than the defense has been poor . If it doesn't improve over the next two games then they just need to go blitz wild and throw junk defenses out there all game . If you can't stop anything then there's nothing to lose .
There's no evidence that we've hit rock bottom. The teams that are racking up those numbers on us are the bad offensive teams. We still have the strong offense teams coming up on our schedule.
You contradicted you own statement with the Gran example. We can hire coaches just takes money. Being cheap hires you coaches from junior colleges, texas state etc etc also guys who never was a head coach before another who never been a dc before etc. Just a cluster from the beginning. Sometimes new guys work out and sometimes They dont. it's never good when you have half your coaching staff like that.
If we started out by hiring legit coaches to begin with we wouldnt be in this mess.
There's no evidence that another coach could do any better either , might as well keep this one . Figure of speech , not literal . There's almost always a worse , there's almost always a better . It's more about what your outlook is . A meteor could demolish commonwealth stadium , so we're in good shape right now .
So far through 3 games this is the worst defense that I've ever seen at UK. And I just dont see how we can turn it around. If players dont have the technique and discipline by the time they are juniors or seniors.......... what are you going to do to instill it into them during the season ? Is Stoops going to go all BCG and lock them in toilets???? Water boarding??? I dont see what he can do because if he hasnt been tough on them yet........ players wont just magically take him serious when he starts in the middle of a season
Well, I stand corrected if UC, which plays in the AAC, is a power 5 conference.
I feel if you don't support this group of the coaches, until they get fired, your a total hack of a fan. In other words, you want UK to lose. I will always support the coaches, even though I might want to see them gone, the players and UK. I will still attend the games and root for UK. Getting rid of the coaches is not the fans job, but the Administration's job. Do I hope Stoops can turn it around, you bet I do. Am I a Stoops supporter, not necessarily, but I want him to win, because of the players, and I'm tired of hiring a coach for two or three years.

If MB keeps hiring bad coaches you will have this turnaround...
You want to just stick with a bad one? For how long? Until they kick us out of D1?
I never dreamed UK would field a defense that would make me wish for Hal Mumme. We are getting humiliated
I support the team, but not the coaches. They get paid a lot of money for this crap
Sometimes I think people on here really do believe that our complaints on a message board controls what happens during games and seasons. Stoops is a big giant booger face.... OH NO... I just cursed him and the negativity just drained his IQ another 30 pts and oh my... the rest of this year is all on me. Im soooo sorry guys. Forgive me.
