AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka was seen on Monday leaving the Trump White House after meetings with top administration officials.

As Trumka was walking from the White House a Gateway Pundit contributor asked him for comment on the Trump administration.

Trumka said President Trump was a better trade president than Barack Obama.


TGP Reporter: Mr. Trumka how is President Trump with labor?

Richard Trumka: We’re working hard.

TGP: Is he surprising you? Is he maybe better than you might have thought?

Trumka: We’re working hard on trade. Yes. He’s better on trade than what we had. For sure.

TGP: So he’s better on trade than what we previously had?

Trumka: Yup.

You're an idiot and a fool. The article interview is what Trumka said. Do you dispute he said this?

Trump won PA, OH, WI and MI in large part due to the union vote. But a teacher as poor as you likely does not know that. Union support moving toward Trump is accurate.

If Trump turns Union rank and file voters and Blacks away from Democrats (his minority outreach is also similarly dismissed) The Democrat Left will be like Coal was under Obama.

Basic economic principle. With any success, there is a cost. Good economic policy will have a good balance. This article does not address the cost of current trade policy or what Trump and his commerce department is implementing.

I'm sure this doesn't matter to the OP and his cherry picking.

I am simply relaying what Trumka had to say. I made zero comment on good economic policy. Trumka obviously believes Trump is better on trade. It is that simple.

LOL. Right. Trump is making big inroads into union households. He won heavy unions states of OH, PA, MI, and WI. Wash Post even reported on his success.

Trump has done very little on everything you mentioned except for relaxing some regulations and pulling out of treaties and trade agreements. Yes, there is a short term effect. What is important is long term. Very little has been done. He is focused on his ego and investigations.

He has gutted many Obama regs, approved new pipelines, jawboned companies into investing in American manufacturing and in some cases, staying in America. Demonstrated a friendliness to coal and other energy sources. Coal production is up 15% this year. Opening oil and gas drilling on public lands. It has only been 6 months but clearly moving in the right direction.

Does Richard's nose not appear to be growing? Then that is really true what is told of nose growth.
