UK/Bama Tailgating Question

I am going down with some people for the game next week and had a quick question for people going. Since it is a night game, we will certainly want to tailgate during the day so I didn't know if there was a particular lot that a bunch of Kentucky fans were trying to tailgate in or what.

From what I've seen, the lots are all over the place and besides right next to the stadium, very well priced for a pass. Just wanted to get people's input before purchasing.

Go Cats!

i would contact a company like Tailgate Tents to provide the set up. It's the only way to go on the road. Sadly, while this concept has been around for years, UK has yet to embrace it.

I just called and for a 10x10 tent, six chairs, and a table in the new family zone area was 350.00. Don't think I'll be going that route. Lol.

I need to start one of those in lex.

Shelter 100bucks, chairs 100 bucks and a table for 50. I could buy and leave that stuff there for that price.

The whole Bama quad is rented out and any other available spots close to the Stadium are taken by Bama fans. You can probably find a place about a mile away. A lot of Bama fans will invite you into their tailgate if you strike up a conversation with them. If you get a chance eat at Dreamland BBQ, great ribs. The original one is in Tuscaloosa and is a hole in the wall with a NO Farting sign over the door, they have a new location in Northport. They also sell tailgate packages.

Sounds like a bargain to me. Its the cost of doing it right. This is not a new concept as it has been going on in the south for years.

I've looked into doing something similar at UK but you have to have cooperation from the University to provide shaded green space. In my opinion, UK has the worst tailgating atmosphere in the league because the bulk of it is done in a parking lot.
