UK coach is en route to visit Charlotte (Fla.) Punta Gorda linebacker D'Vonte Price right now. He's an unranked 2017 linebacker with an offer from Marshall, listed at 6-foot-2, 190-pounds. I believe it would be Darin Hinshaw but can't say for certain right now. Apparently one of UK's coaches (probably Hinshaw, I'd imagine) was at his practice today as well.

UPDATE: It is Hinshaw

UK staff has done well with sleepers. Hope this works out.

what would be even sneakier, is offer someone you know personally isn't SEC material, and just work out an inside deal with the kid...say hey, I will get you an offer from an SEC school, UK will offer, just so the other schools offer him...let him then commit to one of those schools...??? maybe?

Being desperate is not a good recruiting plan.

We need a sure thing at LB, with speed to defend the middle lanes and drop the QB from a first down, good ones force like 4 and 4 in big games.

Looks like a nice offensive player as well.

Here's his hudl:

Hey, Justin, it says he's a CB? Will he play LB in college?

You sure you didn't link Danny Trevathan's high school tape? Almost identical to Danny's tape his senior year. Very athletic, played both ways, and returned punts. Too many veriables when it comes to recruiting rankings. We haven't offered yet and we may be just putting feelers out. I'll trust the staff.

You clearly haven't paid much attention to the staffs recruiting over the past 4 years.

Don't tell me what I have or haven't done. 4 years of terrible Middle linebackers that cost us a few games over the years and if you think beating out Kent St for a recruit is good then I don't know what to tell ya.

How many times to you want us to get ran over in SEC play? UT/UGA/UF over the years just runs it against us.

Looks like a safety or Will backer to me. Looks like a good athlete. Probably not a Mike, but I don't think anyone has suggested that is the idea, other than someone insisting it would be a bad idea.

He has been offered by South Florida, Southern Miss and Florida International too. He apparently missed some games because of a broken collarbone. He's a track star for his school, looks like hurdles and long jump are his best events.

If our staff evaluates him as having a motor and tenacity similar to Jordan Jones, I really don't care who else is after him. I'd make J. Jones the prototype of what we look for in LB's other than Mikes going forward.

We spend our winters in PG, I ride my motorcycle by his high school about every day. I recall we were recruiting a running back from the same school last year but don't recall his name.

His tape looks good... moves well/fluid... guys go down when he grabs them... nice frame good solid lower...
If the staff likes ... put a blue hat on the kid.

If he has been vetted by the UK brain thrust and they see quality, bring him on!

Looks like a RB prospect, insurance for Boom hauling??
Seems that way, reading the HOB teaser tea leaves. Thread launched with assumption he is being courted for D. Apparently not, and I can see why, looking at his HUDL closer for that. Seems that is the push from his end any way. About 2/3 of video is O.

Really liked his vids as a RB. Good size/speed.
