UK fans really believe they're getting Donovan...

That is, of course, assuming these reports are true that Gillespie is out. So, the question is, will a coach that left the NBA before he coached a game to come back to Florida actually go to UK? For some reason, I highly doubt it.

that Travis Ford will be named the new coach in the next 48 hours. Allegedly, KY contacted Petino and he told them that he wanted to retire in Louisville and that Ford was the best choice for their future. Allegedly, Petino told Donovan that leaving Florida to go to Kentucky (within the same division obviously) would tarnish his legacy at Florida. This is all internet rumblings, but it's pretty entertaining over there.

This from an article in the Richmond Times Dispatch about Anthony Grant: "In Florida, The Gainesville Sun reported that a source said Foley "wants assurances that Grant would be available if Donovan was to leave" before granting permission for Kentucky to talk to Donovan."

Don't you think they should wait until they actually fire their coach before they hire the replacement?

UK fans annoy me, primarily because they think basketball is more important than football. They have their priorities all out of whack.

Rebel, dont you know that Kentucky fans have the right to consider basketball their top priority over football, if they so choose. When you have a sport with the record they have in basketball over the years, they are making the right choice for them. You would feel the same way in their shoes.

Well at least they don't fluxuate year to year based on the amount of wins in each sport...

That's true. For me, football always comes first. Even if we're 0-8 in football and we're an NCAA team in basketball. I may not want to talk about football as much, but football is and always will be first. That's the way it is in the SEC in general too.
