They really do suck. Their fans literally think they have turned a corner and left us in the dust or something as opposed to the one year total anomaly that it was. You have to realize that while we were winning 10 and 11 games, beating Notre Dame, beating Miami, blowing out FSU, winning the Orange Bowl, winning the Sugar Bowl, they were having bad to mediocre seasons. They literally dont know how to handle one above average season where they will likely get blown out by a nothing special Penn State team. Sad.

uk football is historically laughable. You all had ONE good year, and in every sense of the word “good” but not anywhere near great. It won’t happen again, that’s for sure. Enjoy it while you can simpleton. Penn State will own you all then you will disappear into the abyss that is abysmal college football yet again, right where you belong.

Agree, been watching UK football forever. Even pulled for them in the 60s until my UK friends started giving me sh#t for being a UL fan. They are all about basketball first, that will never change. Just check the records of the teams Rupp played against to build his bullsh#t resume. Rupp pulled them out of the Southern Conference in the early years because he knew they could not compete against real basketball programs.

It really is somewhat funny to watch all the Louisville fans complain about the UK success. Coach Stoops has pretty much followed the blueprint that Charlie Strong used to get UL back. Recruit well, develop, play solid defense and do just enough on offense.

I hope we can build on the momentum and have more ups and than downs.

“Complaining” lol.

It took Charlie Strong 3 years to take Louisville football from the Kragthorpian depths to a Sugar Bowl *** kicking of a Top 5 Florida team while recruiting to the Big East.

That’s the same Florida program that sorry *** UK lost to for 31 straight years while being an every year ‘trap game’ for the Gators and it took Porky till his 6th year to pull off the Mildcat Miracle.

Get a grip. Or, then again don’t.

To the victors go the spoils. They went 9-3, and smoked us while doing so.

Good on them, and that’s all I care to say about that. Let’s get back to winning football.

Well it may not be their best record, but it’s been 30+ years since their last 9 win season...sooo, I would say it’s a record say for the last few generations:)

And don't forget on the CI Lair....it was a historic season!!!! LoL.

Some pretty bad history to remember and so many on their board were not even born the last time they managed a 9 win season. True story.:confused:o_O

History is not the average cat fans strong suit.

Wasn’t this the first Mildcat team to have a winning Conference record in 40 something years?...and that team was on probation for cheating.

Think about that. 41 years of not having a winning conference record.... Stellar.

Sub .500 all time team thinking they’re Alabama after one season. SMH, indeed.

So I guess in reading the comments that UL fans are the all knowing when it comes to building and sustaining championship level programs. You have had Cooper, Kragthorpe and Bobby 2.0 how did those work out? The bottom line is you have had success in non power 5 leagues and now you are in the ACC lets see how it all plays out when you have to bring it every week. So far you are about a .500 team in the ACC with a Heisman trophy winner over some of that time.

Recruit and develop that is what UK is doing now and it is what Satterfield will do as well but it isn't as easy climbing the mountain in the ACC.

We’ve been above .500 against your team no matter what level we’ve played at. Lol

Rupp pulled them out of the Southern Conference in the early years because he knew they could not compete against real basketball programs.

He finished 4th and 1st in his first two years of coaching in the Southern Conference. UK was one of 13 members that left in 1932 to form the SEC. In fact the teams that would form the SEC held a 6 to 5 advantage in basketball championships over those that would form the ACC in 1953 while the ACC held a 6 to 5 in the SOCON tourny. It isn't as you claim.

Yes, we should be an authority on program building, because all we’ve done is move up, move on, win, and sustain, despite a bump in the road here and there. 4 non bowl seasons in 20 years, yeah, that’s pretty good. And, this year skews UofL’s ACC record. It’s the exception not the rule. UK has had almost 130 seasons to be an all time loser.

You are right, this year was the exception just as the 7-1 record was which puts you at about .500.

U of L tied as Atlantic division champ in Year Three of the ACC. Yeah, that took awhile.

And that was a tie with the NATIONAL champ...

The problem for UK is they have to win with a roster that isn't as good as Tennessee, Florida, South Carolina, Miss State or Georgia. This year they had a veteran team while UT, Texas A&M. Miss St and Florida were breaking in new staffs. Next year they won't have that luxury. They pull 8-9 wins out next year then he has built something.

They don’t beat Tennessee very often, how in the world they got curb stomped by a horrible Tennessee team is laughable. Kentucky’s best team in decades, wasn’t very pretty to watch.

I’m curious to see what comes for them.

Stoops has put together a staff that has proved it can recruit a little.

If they had recruited a real QB this season could have been really special.

That said, as “good” as their class(es) have been, they’re still at the bottom of $EC classes.

Next season will show where they are.
