Reporter is an idiot though - he should have waited until the kid signed before he broke this. Now all that will happen is that UK will pull the scholarship offer, and the booster will try to get his cash back (if he doesn't, big blue will take care of him somehow), and they will use the $200K on a different player, and be more careful this time - all will be good.</font></div>

I haven't seen the article where this was posted, but UK needs to be careful. Their hoops recruiting is more likely to be against national Top 10 programs instead of theSEC. Sure there will be some battles against UF, UT, MSU, and other SEC teamsperiodically, but since they aren't recruiting just against the SEC, it isn't as easy for Slive to protect them although I'msure he is still able to provide some air cover.UNC, Duke, Texas, Ohio State, UCLA,Kansas, etcdon't have the same rule to report violations to Birmingham.

I'm sure there will be some major success with Calipari in Lexington, but I doubt his tenure in Lexington will end well.
