What's the hold up? Is it the NCAA aproval or Addidas. How hard can it be to switch colors and make them?

From my experience in ordering uniforms at the high school level, you generally need a six month window to get them custom made, and the one's State has are much more custom than anything we ever ordered. So I would say it is doubtful they have them for this season, although I would think that something could be done to expedite an order. I would love to see them Saturday, but I doubt it happens.

We are the f'n No. 1 team. Adidas needs to take care of us. And do it now.

I'll guarantee that if it was UCLA or Tennessee it would have already happened.

That's just ridiculous. You realize that when Adidas makes surprise uniforms (ie Egg Bowl uni's) they were actually planned before the season, right?

The original plan was to wear the 100 year anniversary uni's once and never again.

The EQ guys tweeted IMMEDIATELY after the USM game that because the jerseys were so popular that they'd continue to use them so long as there was supply (we're reusing all these jerseys each week) but if they run out or whatever, it takes 3 months lead time to get another order from China.

They're not going to have their sweatshop make us jerseys overnight and fly them on a cargo plane the next day for us, UCLA, or even Michigan. Stricklin addressed this last week and mentioned that white jerseys were not an option THIS year, but the way he phrased it sounded like they'll be our permanent ones going forward.

I suspect their "sweatshop" is now a bunch of highly mechanized graphic design, cutting, sewing and printing equipment and FedEx has direct flights from China to Memphis daily. It probably didn`t/won`t get done but I`ll bet it could have been pulled off if it had to be.

They should break out the matte maroon helmets, white tops and grey bottoms. Those looked sharp. Gator Bowl against Northwestern if I am thinking correctly.

Why highly mechanize a plant on the other side of the world to save on labor when you went there in the first place for cheap labor? In that case, just make them here with machines.

In other words, your suspicion is likely very wrong.

It depends on the industry, but likely these custom uniforms are not just simply plugging them into a machine and it spitting them out in a couple of days. It's likely there is a good deal of hands-on labor involved in making these jerseys (and most of our stuff, probably).
