Liked that Shinn HR. Definitely a mistake pitch, but hammered.

‪Cats have chased UofL starter Luke Smith in the 2nd inning. Bases are loaded with Coltyn Kessler coming to the plate with one out. UK leading 3-1. ‬

Dugout is pumped tonight. I think these guys picked up some good mojo during their long road trip.

‪Cards’ Perkins came up with big K of Shinn, then walked in a run with Kessler at the plate. Wild pitch brings home another. Cats lead 5-1. ‬

Glad to see Ryan Johnson get an at bat and come through. I don't know if I'd call Shultz's out a base running error. Probably just inexperience with the field. That ball just shot back off the wall.

That's just some bad luck.

Tough break for the Cats there ... wild pitch bounces off the backstop all the way back to home plate for an easy out at home. Big inning for the Cats though .... and we are going to need all the runs we can get to win this one,

Fielding miscommunication between Shinn and Shelby allows an extra base which costs us a run.

‪Cards chase UK’s Marsh here in the third. Double by Snider, triple off wall by Fitzgerald have helped plate two for the Cards. UK leads 5-3, T3‬

Not sure about the stadium design/layout. Planning for something as basic as where the sun shines/sets is a fairly easy thing to account for ... clearly have to make some design fixes to correct those issues.

Macciococchi is getting his pitches up and the Cards are just smacking all over the place. Looks like BP. now 6-5 Louisville

Lockhart comes in in the top of the 5th and promptly gives up a single and then wild pitches him over. This feels like a lot of our early season games rather than the Ole Miss series.

Yep, looks more like earlier in the season as Reed misses a pick-off throw for a two base error.

That's another play Reed has to make. Then he didn't hustle to the ball and made it easier for them to get 3rd on it.

and we're back to giving up a ton of unearned runs as Degen gives up a HR.

Couple of quick observations:

* we simply don’t have the pitching that is needed to compete at this level

* this team lacks a fire in their belly, which is not good

* our first baseman is lazy ... I would find somebody else to put out there that wants to compete

‪Merciful end to the T5. Cats have surrendered 15 hits to Cards thru 5 innings. 10-5 game. ‬

Red Sox-Yankees started at same time as this one and had been over for 15 minutes.

And we answer Louisville's 4 run inning with a strikeout, strikeout, walk, strikeout from our #3 #4, #5, and #6 hitters.

MB and NM are going to have to have a HARD heart to heart talk after this season is over . He gets one more year and it's over. They wont sell 75 season tickets next year.

Wont happen... they'll use excuses for days. Hard schedule. Youth. Whatever.

I tried going to a few college games. Absolutely ridiculous how long they take.

UL has a real team that will be in the NCAA. Much better program. Great coach. We don’t. We won’t.
