I continue to contend that this UK team will be fortunate to finish 11-7 in the SEC.

We lack junk yard dogs outside of Williams and Butler. Everyone else is a finesse player who often folds against physical play. Tennessee and Auburn must be licking their chops right now and how easily we crumble when the game gets physical.

Ohio State scored 1.26 PPP in that first half.

We could have played well offensively that half and still be losing.

For the game, Ohio State has an eFG% of 67 and only committed 3 turnovers. We are going to lose often if we have to score 1.3 PPP to win.

Not counting this as a loss yet since we’ve already made some impressive comebacks this year, but it would be nice to have one of these major conference games where we don’t go into halftime with a big deficit. It’s going to cost us at some point even if that doesn’t end up being today.

Just don't have anyone who can lower their shoulder get to the rim and make a play. Not a soul.
Huh? We have at least 2 guys, but for whatever reason, we play streetball in the first half and act like we don't care.
Butler and Oweh most certainly can drive and score. Robinson can too.

Ohio St is playing very physical defense and our guys can't handle it, which is surprising since we have older guys. Post up Carr and play through him to start the 2nd half like you did against Duke. Play inside out to start opening up the 3 because we aren't getting any open looks.
It isn’t surprising. We’ve sucked every single time a team has played physical defense against us all season. That’s exactly when we started looking vulnerable, when teams decided to body us.

Where are all the posters who said we were being to negative in the game threads??? You see some of us could see that we were trending in this ugly direction…..this isn’t the same team we watched the first 5 or so games this year. This team can’t shoot, can’t rebound, and sure as hell can’t play a lick of defense! And Pope is getting his *** handed to him tonight too. He better have one helluva halftime speech or this will be a damn blowout.

I know no one wants to hear this but we cannot keep playing like this in the first half of every game. It isn’t going to work out favorably for us if we do. Not this year in the SEC.
Of course we can’t.

Down 9 to this pile of **** team. Embarrassing. Pope is getting out coached badly tonight. I’m tired of this team playing like dog **** in first half’s man
Me too. It is really weird the trajectory of this team hasn't felt right for over a month. Yeah we best Gonzaga and Duke but they don't play hard all the time like Kentucky players should.

Pope so far is reminding me of the Tubby days. Both always being down at halftime and being 2nd half coaches.

Hate to say it and be negative but I’m gonna do it for the fanbase. UK is no way going to win this game. OSU is too physical.

I’ve had a bad feeling about this game all week.

We have to get stops and start sharing the ball.

Definitely agree with this. This team has a few concerning trends that haven't really bit them fully yet.

1. 1st half blues
2. FT shooting
3. Stopping ball penetration
4. Inability to force turnovers

They’ll only come back and post if pope pulls another miracle off tonight

Some of yall just need to stop posting in the first half of games. The only thing embarrassing is how easily yall fold on this team.
Don’t think people are giving up. But we are seeing the same pattern over and over again in these games. You can do that against the Colgate’s of the world and still win. They might even do it today. But then you look at the SEC slate and realize this ain’t gonna fly.

This is the kind of s*** that will get you knocked in the first round. It's also the kind of s*** that will keep you out of the tournament with a loaded SEC.
