Ohio State had finals but getting wacked by 30 the previous game has a way of waking a team up. Plus their game plan has been better. Pope got out coached in the first half.

OSU- 18 Rebounds
UK- 18 Rebounds

UK will get hot and go on a run. UK is being more aggressive inside. Drawing fouls, and making free throws. Once the shots start falling this'll be in UK's control easy.

Agree but UK just works so hard to get shots and it seems many are highly contested. They have to have sets to get open 3s. The “bigs” are no threats so nobody has to leave a shooter.

They have heart and a never give up attitude to come back against Duke and Gonzaga and every player in the country has weaknesses. This team has talent but they don’t always play as a team or give 100%.

See i don't think they really have the talent to necessitate being a top10 team. What i think CAN make them a top10 team is when they do play together, play in Pope's system, and Pope can make proper adjustments as needed.

Up to this point in the season, I think Pope has done an amazing job pulling together a team that was mid major/low P4 talent. Not slamming, that is what it is and these guys have overachieved. They lack the athleticism of a true top end P4 player. They are still good players but unless they are schemed open, they will struggle. They will struggle on D against athletes.

I kind of look at this similar to when Pitino got here. He didn’t have the horses at first, but won with a lot of smoke and mirrors along with schemes and grit. Once he got equal level athletes it was insane. Hoping it’s the same for Pope.

I agree ……except…… there no way to believe Ohio St is that much more athletic.
