Man, no offense those people out on the west coast that were loud about Askew being overrated. They definitely were right.
Smartest coaching in the game was Crean fouling Askew. Kid was having a terrible game, no way he makes that front end.
How do you go from not being able to understand who was killing you against Auburn to doing the same with a player tonight--obviously being Askew. It's just painful to see such a lousy inability to understand the action in front of you as a HC and collective staff.
I've been saying he sucks. Ppl here are happy he "improved" from a 0/10 to about a 1.5/10
BJ is quicker and more mobile. IJ is better at protecting the rim. In that situation I don't understand not having IJ under the rim. Makes no sense

I can't think of a single positive thing to say about this team. Jackson had a chance to perform a simple control block, but no he wanted to show that he was the man. He slaps it hard out of bounds. They have no court sense or situational awareness.
You canāt rely on a team full of freshman to be disciplined enough to not get lost on an out of bounds play like that. Or switch every screen and not break down.
In other, words, optimism needs more evidence than just merely thinking that development can come with more time.
All the other schools are getting better, too.

He had a bad game. Heād been playing better but was terrible tonight. I blame Cal more than I blame him. He shouldnāt have been in that position.
What's gonna really annoy me is now that were out of the tournament, watch BJ Boston go on a tear and regain his draft status, when its all but a lost season for us.

Should have had Jackson on the man taking the ball out, he would have been in position to block any drives Cal had him chasing. Game was going ok till about 5 minutes to go Cal stared calling plays that didn't work. And we went late into shot clock and took bad shots or turned it over.
