This game is hard to predict. Both teams are pretty awful.

I feel like UK will play well most of the game, but the defense will be so horrid that it won't matter.

USC 38 UK 27.

Big, big game for both teams. Other than that, I got nuthin. I'll let Erik do the heavy lifting here. [winking]

Interesting that neither the line makers or the betting public saw much in the news about Barker and the line still remains at 2 or 2.5.

Peace

USCjr doesn't have a lot of talent but they have played fundamentally sound football for the most part winning 2 games against decent opponents and one road loss to MSU by 13. OTOH UK has blown a big lead against a Sunbelt team, got humiliated at Florida, and squashed a patsy.

Our defense hasn't stopped anyone the entire year, the Head coach has had to take over the defense becasue the DC is apparently incapable, the starting QB is out for a least a few weeks, and we've just witnessed a press conference that was generally a scathing indictment on the team's attitude effort and fundamentals.

I certainly hope the CATS pick this week to man up, face adversity and come out with their hair on fire, but I'm not betting on it.

I was going to go with Clubber Lang and say PAIN. But then I thought, as poorly as these teams tackle, they may never hit each other.

USCjr (just realized my phone autocorrects and adds the "JR" :joy:). Should win by 14+ unless we manic a defense together that we haven't seen yet.

This game sickens me. Hate the Gamecocks having lived there for 17 years and listened to their really obnoxious fans (not all, obviously, but enough). They are very good but then neither are we. While I think Johnson has some potential, I think Saturday he looks a lot more like a Juco transfer with no SEC experience than he did against NMSU. I expect USC's offense to miraculously find its way on Saturday, too. I'm going with USC 41 UK 13 as much as it saddens me to think like that.

I honestly have no clue what to expect. I feel like we will have a thought time holding anyone under 25 points so that means we have to score at least that many to win. Tough to guess what our offense looks like this week.

Our only shot is to make it a 50-40 type game. I think that we will be able to do that. Both offenses have a distinct advantage.

Defensively, I think we should man up across the board and spy McElwain with Jones. Blitz everyone else every play. So if you have 4 eligbile WRs and the RB, that leaves 6 guys to pressure the QB and so on based on personnel.

I would say something like 52-42 if we were to pull it out.

While our D is porous, i believe we finally have the type of players and system to be good on offence. That's a start. My main concern is Johnson getting hurt; he's awfully skinny.

I think Kentucky wins. I dont think Johnson is a good QB but having a new guy back there could change the mojo of the offense. Until the Alabama beatdown.

Everyone else is scoring in the forties so why not South Carolina? Also when's big blue madness? if any South Carolina fans are reading this, and I know they are lurking, just remember how the basketball team won by 27 at your place last February.

Always enjoy reading our opponents fans perspective to see how each team feels about its chances. I will say South Carolina does have talent it's just very young talent. The offense needs to complete a full game for the first time this year. It's no surprise that UK has the worse front 7 probably in the power 5. The secondary is okay, but when teams are throwing and running down your throats it's hard to think that UK will stop a mobile QB and very good, but young athletes on the outside. Our front 7 or front 6 will probably be able to get pressure and focus on stopping the run, but Kentucky has very dangerous guys on the outside and at RB. I'll say it's close and we score a late touchdown to make the score look a little better.

If you think about it. Its kind of like opposite roles from a couple years back. This time they are motivated with a new coach. I got the ole cocks

Have no clue, except that it probably won't be a defensive struggle.

U all do know that the most points Carolina has scored so far is 20...these predictions of 31 or 45 is crazy....you all might be surprised at the outcome Saturday night and it just might make you all happy

Means nothing. Florida had a streak of not scoring 30 and they put up almost a 50 burger on us.

it's mind boggling that this team is favored against another SEC team after what we've witnessed the last three weeks.
