Here is my list that I hope return. Schultz, Collett, Kessler, Johnson, Hill, and Curtis. No nothing about freshmen that I did not see! I'm a loyal fan that know very little about the ins & outs of the game.
Did watch the ladies this weekend. Fun, fun team!

Baseball needs to get where softball is at,quickly. Lawson has got a very good team,and has her program performing at a high level,consistently. Was at the the game Sunday,and very impressed with their play!

Program needs to get where Vandy and U6 are!!! Zero reasons for any excuses and the program has taken a drastic downturn since '17!! Next year is CRITICAL!!

You also have to realize Vandy will always get the best recruits since they are a private school and has the ability to offer up to 100% scholarships for their full roster. Most schools get minimum 25% and only 11.7 full scholarships to divide among 27 players. Louisville over-commits then they weed out the commits 2-3 yrs down the road. Which is really not fair to their commits. Coaches have to recruit so many years ahead so Ming was already behind coming into the recruiting process for UK as a new coach. I can only imagine it is really a hard to figure out what you had currently, what scholarship amounts you have left to work with, predict who would leave or stay, fill in for certain positions and try and figure out who you need to redshirt, etc.

Not giving excuses, but it has to be hard when you have to predict so far ahead.

The scholarship balancing has to be the worst and one of the more difficult parts of being a college coach. We tend to forget that they have so few actual scholarships and that they have to attract players to their schools with partial scholarships in order to fill up a 35 man roster. All the while trying to compete against the other best teams in the country as well as the MLB draft. It is certainly one part of the job that I am not envious of and I hope that they can someday change.

Not to be a smarta$$, but excuses are exuses! How can Vandy offer 35(?) full rides because they are private. Seens like that would be an unfair advantage? Can they do that with ever athlete on campus? Seems like the NCAA or SEC would have something to say about that. As for u6 they became really good when MacDonald got to town. UK had some good teams thru the years. Its ALL about coaching and management.

There are approximately 299NCAA Division I baseballprograms with each team being allowed to offer a maximum of (11.7) scholarships. Under NCAA rules, these 11.7 scholarshipscan be divided between a maximum of 27 players, with all players on athletic scholarshiphaving to receive a minimum of a 25% scholarship.

The way Vandy does it they don’t offer full rides based on a baseball scholarship. They offer a lot of academic scholarships to guys who happen to be really good at baseball.

So it sounds like a rule everybody can do then...We have everthing and more(facilities) than Vandy and U6 does, just need somebody to run the program!

In simple terms, Vanderbilt sets aside a portion of their endowment fund to give to baseball players in need of financial assistance. Many private schools do it including Stanford, TCU and Ga Tech. Vanderbilt just does it the best.

Vanderbilt is going to have a built in advantage because of the education aspect. These players have to go there for 3 years, so might as well get a darn good education while you're at it.

The way UK has it; your baseball scholarship cannot be more than your academic scholarship. But per the NCAA a baseball scholarship has to be a minimum 25% unless they are considered a walk-on.

Private schools can set their need based scholarships at any point they want but state funded schools can’t.... therefore vandy can give full assistance if your family makes under $250,000 as an example where state school may only give assistance if you family makes under $100,000 or even less... they are not academic based for the most part

Vanderbilt has a program called Opportunity Vanderbilt that pay 100% of the cost (which is more than $67,000 per year) over what the FAFSA financial form designates as the expected family contribution. This benefit is for any admitted student regardless of participation in sports. Since sports prowess aids admission the money available through Opportunity Vanderbilt covers costs not covered by athletic scholarships (such as baseball partial scholarships) in cases where the expected family contribution is not large.
